The ravenglass railway was brilliant, although it is a miniature train! There are 3 places to eat within walking distance of where we stayed. It is a trek to the nearest shop for essentials, so make sure you get everything you need when you're out.

    A lovely area. Beautiful views.

A lovely area. Beautiful views. Lots to see and do if you know where to look. If you enjoy good walks then definitely a good place to be. Castle is a must visit as is the railway and the museum. Roman bath house is a good walk and plenty of blackberry bushes. People are lovely. We saw a craft fayre which was nice. Other good beaches in driving distance too. Our children loved it.

Beautiful location with lots of history within walking distance. The ratty train was also a lot of fun and took us to Eskdale where you can climb up to see a waterfall. The Inn at Ravenglass had amazing food and we will definitely be going again!

    Friendly people, great parking facilities.

Friendly people, great parking facilities. Plenty of local attractions despite being a small quiet and peaceful place. And if you fancy a trip back in time, please visit the local post office, had to take photos. Railway is exceptional, had a great train ride with a first class cream tea. Felt relaxed and calm throughout the stay.

An exceptional small hotel in a quaint old seashore villages, sympathetically modernised to retain the feeling of age while giving modern comforts. The staff were, without exception, helpful and friendly. The food was very good. The location, in a quaint old estuary village is beautiful an is convenient for a number of attractions such as the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway and Muncaster Castle. A great experience.
