Exceptional accommodation. Very clean. The kitchen had everything you could want. We could have cooked a roast dinner if we wished. The continental breakfast items offered were very generous in quantity and variety. This property is the best of its type we have stayed in. The washing machine was a bonus Highly recommend this place to all. Andrew and Kathleen are very friendly and great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly and enthusiastically by Simon at the front desk, who honestly made this stay go from excellent to absolutely superb. He was extremely helpful with giving us ideas of where to visit on the island and how to get there, and where we could get some dinner, completely unprompted. All the staff I spoke with during our stay were wonderful and a credit to the hotel. The room was a great size, clean and comfortable, the wifi was good and the pancakes at breakfast hit the spot perfectly. A lovely little village, not near much but perfect for a quiet nights stay whilst exploring Uist.

    Grimsay has a nice circuit round and there is Namara fish...

    Grimsay has a nice circuit round and there is Namara fish company which has a shop where you can buy fresh fish, also has a cafe. RSPB walk at Balranald on North Uist is excellent. Pobhull Fhinn and Barpa Langass are worth a look, there is a short walk round both of them. Hebridean smokehouse also has excellent fish.
