Good transport links if no car, i.e. regular buses for local trips or nearby towns including Hastings and Tunbridge and Railway Station (Hastings an hour away by train). Our visit was far too short and have vowed to return soon! The Royal Spa Hotel proved to be a perfect place to stay. Spotless, spacious and very welcoming kind and helpful team. Delicious breakfast. The purpose of our trip was to attend the wonderful Anne Boleyn Musical at Hever Castle. The people we encountered in and around Tunbridge Wells were...
The people we encountered in and around Tunbridge Wells were without exception very pleasant and helpful, There are very interesting parts of Tunbridge Wells, especially Mount Ephraim are and it is convenient for a number of National Trust properties and other attractions including vineyards. Chartwell, Scotney Castle, Ingtham Mote, Bayham Abbey, Chiddingstone, and Hever Castle are all less than 30 minutes away by car. The breakfast was outstanding, and we also enjoyed a meal at the cozy restaurant and pub that is clearly well patronized by local residents, always a good sign. There was ample parking.
