Tunbridge Wells, is much bigger than I thought.
Tunbridge Wells, is much bigger than I thought. Great that it is surrounded by lots of green lush space. The Palatines were a little disappointing but appreciate that it comes to life in warmer months and at night. The shops were a little different too. Good choice of shops and restaurants. Good transport links if no car, i.e. regular buses for local trips or nearby towns including Hastings and Tunbridge and Railway Station (Hastings an hour away by train). Our visit was far too short and have vowed to return soon! The Royal Spa Hotel proved to be a perfect place to stay. Spotless, spacious and very welcoming kind and helpful team. Delicious breakfast. The purpose of our trip was to attend the wonderful Anne Boleyn Musical at Hever Castle. Vibrant town of 2 halves. Practical part and posh part. Plenty of places to eat from kebab to the Ivy with everything in between. The people we encountered in and around Tunbridge Wells were...
The people we encountered in and around Tunbridge Wells were without exception very pleasant and helpful, There are very interesting parts of Tunbridge Wells, especially Mount Ephraim are and it is convenient for a number of National Trust properties and other attractions including vineyards.
