Ryde is a great place to visit.
Ryde is a great place to visit. The beach is particularly beautiful and has very pleasant walks along its length with lots of places to visit. There are also plenty of buses so if like me you don’t drive or as an alternative to driving, you can get to practically anywhere on the Island. Ryde is an historic town with many interesting buildings.
Ryde is an historic town with many interesting buildings. An amazing and unusual pier allowing both cars, train and pedestrian access to the end without being bombarded by gaming machines etc. Wide selection of shops. The main High St. is part pedestrianised but a timed closure of the rest to the seafront would improve the shopping experience and safety. If time permits walk around some of the back streets. Good location to travel down to south east coastline and to Newport. Tesco Extra nearby was very useful. Perfectly placed in Ryde for the bus ferry, train and hover. Near a beautiful beach and town centre shops around the corner which have excellent restaurants bars fish and chips. The hotel has lots of space and takes in large coach trips which the staff cope admirably with at breakfast and dinner times.
