We have just had a wonderful three night stay at Redmore. Joy lived up to her name and was an absolute delight. She could not have done anything more to make our stay more comfortable or pleasurable. She is a wonderfully chatty and engaging host and with her husband made us very much at home from home. The house is a converted terrace of cottages which is quaint and colourfully decorated. The bedroom although not big is very comfortable and everything you could want was provided.The cottage is beautifully clean and it was a pleasure to sit outside and enjoy the garden and cup of tea on arrival.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in, the staff were so lovely and welcoming which made our stay so much better. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel was extremely clean. We were celebrating a special occasion and the staff gave us a card and a bottle of Prosecco which just shows just how exceptional their customer service is. They gave us advice on where to visit and the best locations to watch the sunset which was appreciated. Definitely coming back next year :)

Great accommodating friendly staff., who said they’d keep the kitchen open if we were late as been working. We had a refurbished room, not big but ok for a couple, which was very nice with super comfy bed, nice decor and a good power shower. Breakfast was good too. Ample parking

    There are some lovely walks and cycle ways close to the village, old mine works and interesting buildings. There are a few nice pubs in the area for food or a chat with the locals. Can recommend the Star inn, St Day. great beer garden, play area, dog friendly, nice pub grub!
