A pretty market town that has great frequent cheap bus links into Cambridge. A lovely river with history pretty boat rides available. Golden Lion hotel and Amore Italian restaurant excellent food. We chose an 11 mile circular walk around St.
We chose an 11 mile circular walk around St. Ives, along the Ouse river and valley(s). The walk was great, stopping half way at the excellent Cock in Hemmingford Grey. St. Ives itself has plenty of history and St. Ives Bridge with the integrated Chapel is one of four of its kind in the country and the statue of Oliver Cromwell is prominent. St Ives is a lovely quiet calm town.
St Ives is a lovely quiet calm town. It has some great shops and a large market on a Monday morning. There is a Antique Market too which has some fantastic things to buy. The town is very picturesque, nice walks down by the river. There is a cycle path that runs all along the busway, from St Ives to Cambridge. This is flat, completely traffic-free and about 15 miles each way.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom
