Lovely area but as it is on a peninsular long drive to get anywhere else. Ferry to Falmouth very convenient tho. Huge council car park nearby and we bought a 7 day ticket for £35. Most places under staffed in June 2024. We were on b&b in hotel but options for eating elsewhere limited and expensive. But local fish and chips brilliant.Guest review byCarter - 10.0
Excellent place to stay and in easy reach and/or driveable...
Excellent place to stay and in easy reach and/or driveable distance to features such as tropical gardens and a nice exploratory walk through the wooded gardens leading to the beach. Also. a visit to the only city in Cornwalll, Truro was interesting with many features. It’s right on the sea front and the views from the breakfast room are splendid. The restaurant food is great, and breakfast is really scrumptious. The staff were really accommodative for our family, especially helping us rectify some small issues. They really did go out of their way to help us, especially Ellie and Daisy. The vibe is relaxed, with great music and feeling around the hotel. We went in early July when it’s a little quieter around the area which was perfect. Dinner in the dinning room was OK but not great. The menu was unimaginative and a little expensive for what we had.
