Quite steep hills and narrow streets which add charm, but can be difficult for modern cars, which tend to be quite large. The Museum and Art Gallery in Candie Gardens are a bit out of the way, but well worth a visit

Lovely small town and we watched a regatta and an air show, so clearly a lot goes on - we were lucky but maybe could have checked events when booking. Buses from here go everywhere and drivers couldn't be more helpful - do get advice from Bus Shop next to terminus. Lots of interesting shops BUT very steep streets and lots of steps in old town - quaint and interesting but not for those challenged with walking. Lots of great places to eat - mainly on the seafront for us due to mobility issues, but did see others from the bus. Only one bad experience at the cafe near the bus terminus. All the boat trips go from here, but early so try and stay near the seafront to avoid early starts for trips! Boats do get booked up so book early, and be prepared with plan B as weather can stop sailings - it happened to us! Trip to Little Chapel recommended

Best to get hotel in town centre as access to round the island hop on/hop off bus and ferries to Sarn and Herm is on the quayside esplanade . Nice little town with a lot of small shops and restaurants. Bit disappointed that there weren’t many cafes or restaurants on the harbourside. German Occupation museum and German Naval Intelligence museum both worth a visit. Worth picking up a bus route and timetable from visitors centre as variety of routes available.

Lovely gem of a find this hotel was as we booked later than usual and so many places were full. Bedroom was roomy and comfortable. Twice a week they organise trips around the island. They will also organise transport to their other sister hotels so you can use their facilities such as swimming pools, etc. breakfasts provides you with plenty of options cooked or not to start your day. All staff most pleasant and helpful. Very central to the shops, walks along the esplanade and bus terminus. Would when able go back there again.

the kind old gentleman who manages the place and greets you at the door. It is practically a normal house on 3 floors which rents out separate rooms. There is a microwave and small sink in the room, so it was nice to be able to warm up the meal. The bedsheets were clean and the bed comfortable. Absolutely unbeatable for the price - all the hotels on the island are crazy expensive, this place is a complete bargain for the money and in comparison

Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent - a great combination of self-serve continental and waiter-service cooked breakfast. Location - close to the airport (walkable) and a bus route into town (St Peter Port) The staff were excellent too - whatever we asked for they arranged, including a packed continental breakfast when we had to leave early for a trip.

The room was very big. Very clean and modern. Included breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly. One of the most comfortable beds and pillows we had in 40 days of travelling (including many 4 star hotels) Very convenient to the main street, although a short hill to walk up on the way back. Facilities were adequate. There were some lounges if waiting for late flights etc.

Good location, clean and comfortable. I booked it because it was much cheaper than the other hotels for that day and was expecting it to be quite run down and needing updating, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The breakfast basket was very cute with 2 crossiants, butter, jam, 2 packets of cereal and 2 yogurts.
