Lovely home from home, stylish duplex apartment. Perfect location in Seaham with beautiful sea views. Located right in the heart of Seaham seafront. I was surprised by how quiet it was once inside. Even with some renovation works below we didn’t hear a thing. Friendly communications from the owner and a great bonus that there’s a discount on the breakfasts in The Lamp Room. We loved breakfast and dinner there. There is no designated parking, but we had no problem parking for free close by on a busy bank holiday weekend.

The House was excellent. Really lovely internally and very clean and easy to use. The master bedroom is exceptional with balcony. The owners live on the site but completely left us to our own devices but were on hand if we needed anything.

Seaham seems very run down with most of the shops shuttered up. We went in August and a lot of bars and places to eat weren't open which we found surprising. One bar wouldn't serve us at 9.45pm as they were closing. The beach is quite hard to reach down lots of steps.

Go to Seaham for fabulous beaches and sea glass hunting. There are many more beaches to discover other than the famous ones! There are some beautiful walks along the cliff tops to some secluded beaches . The hunting down of them is part of the fun so I’m not naming them! The high street is shockingly run down with barely any shops. Seaham desperately needs time and money invested in it to make it into a place the locals can be proud of. The promenade where Tommy the soldier is has some excellent restaurants that are well worth trying.

I love coming to Seaham like thousands of others to gather bits of seaglass. Trouble was that since I was last there I have had a couple of strokes which have affected my strength a little. There was just no way I could tackle the steps or steep slopes down to the beaches so be aware of this if you have mobility issues. Nice rather old fashioned seaside town though with everything you could need, I love it.

It's a small town, but sits nicely along the coast for exploring north and south. Some interesting local beaches, sometimes inaccessible, but always with the potential for finding sea glass. Lovely coastal walks and the whole area is very clean and tidy. Small harbour

The location was good. Unfortunately Seaham does not have a lot to offer if you don't get good weather. Dining out is impossible if you don't like Weatherspoons or the local Indian. The Weatherspoons was not the best. The Indian average. And that is definitely your options.
