As soon as I arrived and looked around the house I thought...
As soon as I arrived and looked around the house I thought this will do nicely and off I went to the cafe for coffee and cake. The lady in the old fashion sweet shop was very friendly and I bought sweets for my walk the following day. In the evening I ate at the pub on the main road. Settle is very easy to navigate and I love the friendly people and quaint buildings. My husband was a walks leader and he used to take me on many walks from Settle. There are so many footpaths easy and difficult and I think it is an excellent location for walking.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

It is a great central base, plenty of options for walking and cycling. Busy market town and typical Dales town. Filled with interesting buildings from centuries ago and lots of great cafe's and a bakery amongst some of the important services. Bus and Train services are readily available for both Giggleswick and Settle. Small supermarkets help provide for travellers and visitors to the area. We loved our stay at Falcon manor Hotel and used it as a base for exploring the surrounding area. The breakfast was exceptional and set you up for a days walking. The room itself was comfortable with lovely views over the dales. The staff were very accomodating and nothing was too much trouble.
