The meet and greet at the door of the hotel with a welcoming introduction and glass of champagne. The staff all made you feel so special and welcoming. The decor of the hotel was spectacular and the history was so interesting The rooms were so well presented and extremely clean. The views were spectacular and reminded you of an English county-side and so nice and peaceful. The cleanliness.

I got a really friendly welcome when I after 7.30pm following a long drive. Both team members I spoke to were chatty and friendly and very professional. The food was lovely and served quickly. My room was fabulous. Immaculately clean, warm and very comfortable. It was quiet too which made getting to sleep very easy. Breakfast was very nice too. The lady who served me was lovely. I didn't catch her name but we chatted a few times. I highly recommend this lovely place to stay whether it be for business, like me, or pleasure. I'll definitely stay again.

I've being going to Shrewsbury over many years.

I've being going to Shrewsbury over many years. I love the town. Lots of choice where to eat and plenty of old pubs to try. Alot of the old independent shops, have gone similar to many other town centres. A sad result of how people want to shop. I find the history of the town intoxicating to think that its hundreds of years of people walking the old cobble streets and living in the gorgeous old ramshackle buildings.

Shrewsbury was much nicer better than I was expecting, with many historic buildings, some excellent shops restaurants and bars and very scenic areas along the river. We combined a short river cruise with lunch at St Vincent, which was excellent - possibly the best burger ever and superb value for money

The centre of the town is a paradise of medieval buildings. It is quire hilly and also compact. We downloaded the tourist trail from the local Tourist Information office. I especially loved the Abbey which is nearly 1000 years old

Very clean well maintained historical city with loads to do and plenty of old buildings to see. Huge expense of shopping outlets and a wonderful indoor market with an array of stalls selling fresh cheeses, fresh meat, worldwide foods, veggies, bags, clothes, wines and eating places/cafes. Recommend this place and will be bringing my family back to see it.

An old-fashioned kind of place with small shops but also with modern touches and plenty of diverse eating places . Lots of pedestrianised areas . The river winds through the town and there are really good riverside walks/cycle paths and green , tree'd areas and many cobbled streets plus historic buildings and places of interest . The Severn Theatre - by the river , by the 'Welsh Bridge ' - is worth a visit . The market hall has everything you could possibly want for gifts or just living. I was only there for two days but felt it could be the base for a longer holiday to explore the town more and the surrounding countryside .

Amazing boutique hotel located in the centre of old Shrewsbury loaded with history from the 16th century – but also includes a vibrant restaurant and bar downstairs. The staff were very attentive and enthusiastic about the building and their growing business. Over the two nights we both had a good rest and sleep, which is important. We would definitely stay their again – should an opportunity present itself.

We have stayed in many 4 star hotels all over Europe and this was up with the best of them but at a cheaper price. Room was large and modern as was the en-suite and both were spotlessly clean. The welcome was very friendly and efficient. The breakfast had a good choice of options too. Lastly, the location was perfect with a large outside garden leading down to the river. Highly recommended.
