The village was a little run down, but there was obviously...
The village was a little run down, but there was obviously the will to make it better for locals. Not really set up for tourists. There was no information around concerning the 'Wolf Gallery' which turned out to be closed until June or July. The toilet refurbishment seemed to have come to a halt. Silverdale is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with...
Silverdale is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with National Trust maintained woodland and very good nature reserves particularly RSPB's Leighton Moss which is within walking distance. It's also good for visiting the Southern Lakes. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly. The English breakfast was tasty and filling. The restaurant wasn't open. However, we received a recommendation for a good restaurant in town, just a 5-minute walk away. The beach was also a 5 minute walk away. It was a lovely little village.
It was a lovely little village. The beach is stunning and so is the sunset! There are a great amount of walks around the area, with hidden coves and treasures! The one place that was really frustrating was Jenny Brown's Point. I would NOT recommend driving into the one and only road to get to it. I had young kids with me, so I had to drive through, but there is no parking at all and the road is really narrow, which was really inconvenient. Neither myself nor the kids could get down and explore it as it was a bit of a trek without a car , with young kids. Silverdale is a small village with a few basic shops and...
Silverdale is a small village with a few basic shops and toilet facilities. Excellent as a base for walking and bird watching in the locality. Quiet, unspoilt and within walking distance of RSPB Leyton Moss. The Silverdale Hotel is the main evening food and drink facility for most of the week with another pub in the village only open at weekends. There is a small coffee bar and an Indian restaurant which we didn't try. There is a post office, pharmacy and small supermarket.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Really liked the staff, the pub area, the location. The beer garden was lovely and we'd have been out there more if it was warmer. The room was big, clean and had everything you need. The bathroom floor creaked badly and the shower was impossible to get the right temp but usable. The bed really let the place down, it was uncomfortable and felt like it was on a slant.
