Skipton exceeded our expectations.
Skipton exceeded our expectations. We were only there for the weekend for a celebration of a wedding. We got a day to explore. So much on offer! Canal boat trips, walks, castle local market on in the High Street. Lots of winding alleys to sweet independent shops and bakeries. More bars and pubs and cafes than I've seen anywhere! Beautiful Town Hall with a fantastic little museum that was great for kids too, with lots of interesting hands on experiences. I highly recomend a visit. Great 'Makers Market' going on too in the hall. A super base to see the Dale's and surrounding area.Guest review byTownsend - 10.0

Very clean throughout. The bed was huge and very comfy.I had a room overlooking the front and a busy road. WiFi was good I didn't eat or drink there but the bar area looked nice. I walked along the towpath from Skipton. A pleasant walk which took me about 40 minutes, walking slowly and as it's beside the canal was very easy to find.
