Skipton exceeded our expectations.
Skipton exceeded our expectations. We were only there for the weekend for a celebration of a wedding. We got a day to explore. So much on offer! Canal boat trips, walks, castle local market on in the High Street. Lots of winding alleys to sweet independent shops and bakeries. More bars and pubs and cafes than I've seen anywhere! Beautiful Town Hall with a fantastic little museum that was great for kids too, with lots of interesting hands on experiences. I highly recomend a visit. Great 'Makers Market' going on too in the hall. A super base to see the Dale's and surrounding area.Guest review byTownsend - 10.0

Monica upgraded us to a private apartment after there had been issue with our room booking. The hotel was full. A great hotel with free car parking plenty of spaces, good reception/breakfast staff. The breakfast was excellent - self service, with a good choice. Outside the hotel was the canal which was very active with barges, and a short walk along it into the centre of Skipton.
