The area of St Clements is lovely, great sandy beaches with free parking and clean public conveniences, and a few lovely pubs to eat at. Small supermarkets (Morrisons and Co-op) are also around and are open late. Our room overlooked St Clements bay area but not a beach to visit because we had a car we travelled around the Island and found some good sunbathing beaches. St Clements was a pleasant little town.
St Clements was a pleasant little town. There was an excellent pub The White Horse, serving food. A Marks and Spencer food hall and pharmacy and an excellent bus service. Nice little area by the sea with quite a fast moving tide. This was good to watch from our hotel room as it came up the beach. Not really a beach resort like St. Brelade's but certainly suitable as a base while visiting the rest of the island. Hotel Ambassadeur is a beautiful hotel in St Clements. It's exceptionally clean and tidy. The staff are outstandingly helpful. There is a beach opposite the hotel with easy access, beautiful scenery, locals make you welcome. Marks and Spencer is just around the corner if you have forgotten anything. A few weeks before I arrived, I was told there had been a double-booking error and I would have to be put into a different hotel for the first night.
