The location was lovely, pretty village. The pub had a huge amount of character and even the newer parts were aesthetically sympathetic. The accommodation was very clean, the room was a beautiful space, very rustic and everything you cld possibly neded and more. All the staff were very freindly and very accomodating. The food was amazing. We had our dog who had his own bowls one full of treats, a tennis ball and a bottle of water. we wld definatley stay again

Beautiful spot by one of the Test's streams complete with the ducks. Absolutely lovely for 2 agile people as the short stairs to the bedroom on the mezzanine are very steep. The flat had a small lounge with woodburner and was the same price as the normal bedroom in the usual hotel so great value for the money. The .George pub a short walk from The Den was great too. The food was cooked beautifully and wasn't a bad price for such delights.

    Stockbridge is a lovely little town with a selection of independent shops and restaurants/cafes/pubs. It is made all the more characterful by the River Test running right by the main street. We find it a great place to stop off for the night, as it's halfway between home (Somerset) and S.W. London which we visit sometimes.

    Stockbridge is a cosy, colourful and quaint town in Hampshire with the river Test running through it. People who are lucky enough to live here are clearly happy as they all seem cheery and show kindness to visitors. There are lots of little shops and good cafe's. If you are into fly fishing, Robjent's on the high street has all the gear you could dream of along with expert advice.

    The town of STOCKBRIDGE is a few miles away but pleasant wlk about with a few shops and restaurants. we ate at a lovely restaurant just outside of STOCKBRIDGE i think it was called the Mayfly right on the riverbank nice place to eat. a Fullers establishment. FREE PARKING IN STOCKBRIDGE A BONUS.

    Stockbridge is a very attractive archetypal small English country town, surrounded by glorious countryside. Great for fishing, walking and visiting interesting venues, including nearby cities such as Winchester. Good range of pubs, restaurants and shops in the town and good access to main roads making it an excellent base for touring.

    The staff were very friendly and very efficient. We got a warm welcome at Reception on arrival and they had even remembered to make the changes to the bedding which we requested. The hotel is not particularly spacious but it is comfortable, with both a sitting room and a bar. Dinner was excellent and all four of us were impressed by the high standards of the food, the cooking and the presentation. We will definitely go back.

    After some initial doubts from hubby (we had come from some modern/upmarket hotels in our trip) we loved it here! It’s an old fashioned English pub, not the classiest but it was comfy and had a surprisingly excellent chef on site. The owners have done their best to update it without losing its charm. And let’s face it, the price per night for accomodation is very reasonable.

    3 cups Garden and conservatory area the best in Stockbridge. Great menu. Great price. Lovely pub. Breakfast in the morning Great quality..just too early for us to enjoy. Kindly the pub gave us a free late check out until Midday so we could work. The WiFi worked in the room.

    We dined in the restaurant and the meal was simply superb. The hotel is an old building full of atmosphere, with the character and cosiness that goes with it. And outside the flowing waters of the Test add to the delights.
