We enjoyed our 1 night stay after an early flight into Birmingham. Host was friendly and helpful. Rooms are extremely clean and beds are so comfy with soft bed linen that smelt beautiful, didn’t want to get out of bed. We had travelled from Wales to Sutton - our home town. Sutton town centre itself has gone down the pan so much it was not good to see. If you are looking to go shopping there is not very much shop wise that is worth going to. We won't be back sadly. If you want a good meal it is worth going to Boldmere just outside Sutton where there are plenty of eateries of all kinds. We would highly recommend the Shaban for absolutely excellent Indian food and service. Sutton is a lovely town with its beautiful park complete with wild ponies. There are some great restaurants in town and plenty of historically interesting sites, especially for Tudor period history buffs. The decor is extremely dated and tired, our room had net curtains that were holey and frayed, everything looked like it hadnt been touched since the 1980s Laura Ashley days. We enjoyed our stay and slept well. The shower has no seal around the door so the floor got soaked, and the bath wouldn't fill due to the plug not being secure.
