    Ours was just a short trip but we really enjoyed the village, its shops and bar/ restaurants. Everyone had their own preferences but I thought that the village and especially Stay met all our expectations and we would both happily recommend it to family and friends.

    Lighting in room was poor.

    Lighting in room was poor. Not much room between sink and bath and almost fell backwards into the bath. Slightly unpleasant old cigarette smell in ground floor areas but not in the restaurant or bedroom. Comfortable bed and bedroom. Food in restaurant was good. Dont bother having porridge for breakfast as it wasnt cooked long enough. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great ambiance.

    A delightful small market style town with a great selection...

    A delightful small market style town with a great selection of high quality shops - from a Fine Food Farm Shop and fantastic cafe/bakery, through numerous great looking places to eat to a number of smart looking dress and gift shops. It has a lovely friendly feel to it. The Swan Hotel feels very much like a meeting-point for the community, with people dropping in for coffee/tea or the bar or the restaurant. Tarporley is not far from lovely countryside with walks along The Sandstone Trail, particularly Delamare Forest and a super pub called The Pheasant which has a map with local walks.

    We arrived to a welcoming reception area.

    We arrived to a welcoming reception area. Michel offered to take our bags to the room, he’s an asset to the Hall. The young man serving breakfast was polite and friendly too. Many thanks for a comfortable , overnight stay.

    Fabulous hotel and location. Rooms immaculately clean.

    Fabulous hotel and location. Rooms immaculately clean. 2 uncomfortable mattresses pushed together leaving a “valley “ in the middle. Tv didn’t pick up signal . Terrible WiFi . Room service never turned up after 2 phone calls I had to go downstairs myself. Breakfast passable but no one in charge , small portions, tea and coffee in flasks , no orange, no bowls, workman on ladder in middle of food area. Complete lack of management.

    Beautiful setting , good size room, comfy bed, swimming pool...

    Beautiful setting , good size room, comfy bed, swimming pool was nice, friendly staff. Bit disappointed with continental breakfast, only one choice of juice, toaster didn’t toast evenly, tea wasn’t given in pots of tea but waitress brought it round which meant it wasn’t hot also very strong.. the cooked breakfast would probably be better but I can’t comment on that.

    Our weekend at The Swan was excellent. It was our second time their and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. The location in one of the best of country towns is a real selling point. But The Swan itself is on of the best 'pub wit rooms' you will hope to find. The food during dinner and at breakfast is excellent and the staff are all very friendly and top rate.     The dining room was lovely, I love that you could look out onto their grounds. Spa was refreshing, very good masseuse, staff were very helpful. The concierge at this hotel are amazing. So lovely, friendly, happy to help. Adored my room! Especially the bath
