This was my second stay at Thetford hive. Lovely and warm, with spacious rooms with comfy beds. The room had tables and chairs which make it perfect for a working trip. The well appointed kitchenettes in each room are a great touch as many hotels lack such facilities and for a longer stay it is useful to be able to cook myself. Oodles of parking, even though the hotel was near full when i stayed. Will definitely be back.

I liked the house lovely and quiet and very nice I easy got into the house once I realised the key safe and key fir front door I liked the fridge freezer as I had frozen foods to store before my journey home so I liked that cooker easy to use too didn't take long to cook yummy foods I really liked my stay I've stayed at alot of places in thetford but liked this one nice bath too plenty hot water would stay again great location too thanks

The accommodation was exceptionally clean and couldn't fault it. Only a few minutes walk in to town. Parking available which is a big bonus. Would highly recommend for a short stay over or getaway.

    The hotel was clean and tidy and comfortable, but no breakfast on site restaurant was closed for evening meals and breakfasts not what I expected. Would not stay again it’s either an hotel or a guesthouse.

    Thetford is a really nice historic town.

    Thetford is a really nice historic town. Everywhere you will find references to Dads Army the much loved TV series. It has a nice feel about the place and people are friendly enough but not too much so. Apart from Dads Army there are also lots of references to Thomas Paine who was born and raised in Thetford and there is also a very impressive Gold statue of the man himself in the centre of Town. Driving into the town was easy enough and there is free parking available. The church St. Cuthberts were running a cafe the day I was there and it was very welcoming and there were various light lunch choices available. I settled for a scone and pot of tea which was delicious. Thetford would be a good place to stay while exploring the surrounding areas.

    We found several places of interest to visit within easy walking distance- e.g. priory, castle hill, duleep singh statue, dads army museum all with free entry. If you particularly wanted to visit Dads Army museum though check opening days/times in advance as quite limited. You need to be able bodied if you want to go up the castle hill-it's very tall and need to climb steps. Sit down eating out places limited although lots of take aways. Food was good at the local Wetherspoons-Red Lion-and available hours good. High street a bit run down-not for shopping fans. You would probably only need a couple of days to see everything but we enjoyed our visit.

    We walked along the river bank to the town in the evening.

    We walked along the river bank to the town in the evening. There were some interesting buildings and we would have liked to visit the Burrel Museum but it is only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays. On the way to the hotel we had a Sunday Lunch (3pm) at the Black Horse Thursford which we would highly recommend we hadn’t booked but they accommodated us and although very busy were very friendly and accommodating.

    I was out most of the day I had good food each morning with tea and coffee left after 10am came back mid afternoon to do evening meals then visited local bingo club and see friends too had walk back after so I really enjoyed my stay

    Great location and many places of interest.

    Great location and many places of interest. The pedestrian area was good to see and visit, Dads Army museum was excellent and the town trail worth doing, if only in part. Never saw a single policeman over 3-days in the town central area. Definitely needed: in evenings, groups of youngsters, 9many with eastern European accents) being youngsters (noisy, kicking plastic bottles of water around, misbehaving) Looked like a drug seller beside The Bell Hotel (?) Group of 6/7 eastern European men drink cans of larger near the supermarket and church entrance on King Street. A problem that will keep tourists away, needs sorting ! Glad we made the visit.

    Absolutely loved this place. My ideal place to live. Great location and very comfortable. It was like having a home away from home. The place was spotless. Vicky was great at communication. I picked to stay here as it was cheaper than the local chain hotel and I'm so happy I did. Thank you Vicky. I visited Bury St Edmunds and Ickworth House while here.
