The breakfast was wonderful, plentiful, and lots of choice in a lovely sunroom. The hotel is set in a grand, picturesque location surrounded by fields within which is a lake, Beds are very comfortable with French doors opening onto a patio, looking across the fields. An 14th century church is in walking distance, and pleasant walks in the nearby wooded areas. Lovely part of the world, real England.

The camping pods are so lovely and clean and have everything you need for a nice chilled trip. We stayed there for one night and used the bbq facilities which are located outside each pod. Everything you need is on the decking in a lock box. Parking is very close to the pods and so are the washing facilities which are also very clean with a good shower. Each pod has its own small bathroom. We will definitely be back!

    Spotlessly clean room. Easy to book in. A longish walk to our room and a lift was available to take us down to the right corridor. Staff helpful in both bar and restaurant. We dined in the restaurant Food excellent and not over priced. Happy atmosphere. Uckfield town was busy there is plenty to do and see in the area

    We were in Buxted but the Town of Uckfield very near for...

    We were in Buxted but the Town of Uckfield very near for independent and individual shops. We wanted a nearly retreat and already live in East Sussex so knew the area which has good connections to. Other areas of interest. Buxted Park is a great place for a Country wedding and there’s a Church on site, goats and wildlife in abundance along with dog walks and places to lose yourself. Secluded and peaceful.

    The hosts were attentive.

    The hosts were attentive. The facilities in the hut went above & beyond. They even filled the bird feeders on the balcony, so we had ten (TEN) long-tailed tits on the feeders, countless blue & great tit's, TWO nuthatches at the same time, & a regularly visiting woodpecker. We loved it there & will definitely be back. Even a tv, & gas hob, & oven. Best shepherd's hut we've ever stayed in, thank you Geraldine & Mark.

    We stayed at Trading Boundaries in a family room as an...

    We stayed at Trading Boundaries in a family room as an alternative to two rooms at the Griffin in Fletching where we had booked dinner. We walked there from Trading Boundaries via Sheffield Forest and then back after dinner. The Griffin is a truly excellent pub with fantastic views coupled with top quality food. It's a 40 minute walk from Trading Boundaries by the shortest route, but if you allow a little longer you can enjoy the plentiful footpaths around the area. Sheffield Park is a few hundred yards to the south if that's your thing.

    Having a car, Uckfield is in a strategic location to visit Sussex and most of Southern coast in Summer, without having to deal with the crowded coastal towns. The countryside is just lovely, the hotel infrastructure is quite good and the staff very professional and friendly.

    Uckfield is in a good location for accessing London by train and for seeing places like Eastbourne, Brighton, Hastings, a range of National Trust properties and the South Downs. It is helpful to have a car.

    The staff were absolutely exceptional, helpful and really the best I have ever come across in a hotel, I had a blow out on my car and the staff made the situation so much calmer by being so helpful from giving me and my friend a lift to the bluebell train and taking the pressure off following morning whilst waiting for AA to sort my car out, I would highly recommend this hotel for its ambience beautiful settings and AMAZING room and will be going back again without hesitation

    Really great Hotel, lovely setting, staff were very attentive and couldnt do enough to help you. Evening meal and bar staff were really good as was the Breakfast, well cooked and presented. Highly reccomend, would have liked to have stayed longer
