A close drive to Quiraing and The Storr.
A close drive to Quiraing and The Storr. We hiked both on the same day as well as touring the Skye Museum of island life. There is not much to the town, but we had great meals at the Ferry Inn and Uig Hotel. The views are lovely.Guest review byMurphy - 10.0

We spent time in Uig because we were taking the ferry to North Uist and then again when we returned from Harris. There are a couple of options for food- The Ferry Inn and Uig Hotel, but they need to be booked in advance, then a cafe and a bar which does takeout food at the harbour. The brewery has a shop there, there’s a pottery and a petrol station and a small shop for food. One interesting place we found nearby was the Museum of Island Life at Kilmuir and the cemetery next door which had a monument to Flora Macdonald and is the burial place of fashion designer Alexander McQueen!Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Rather small village with only a few restaurants and you need to make reservations if you want to have dinner. If not, you can drive to Portree, which is a 20 minute drive. Uig is nicely situated for visiting the northern part of the island of Skye.Guest review byEddyFrance
