Lots of nice pubs and a few shops to browse around. Pretty river with lots of beer gardens to enjoy the view. We had tapas at the boathouse which were delicious and reasonable priced. Stayed overnight on our journey to Cornwall. Visited Croome first, but it is so vast we didn't have enough time to see everything so will hopefully return next year. Upton upon Severn is a small and picturesque riverside town.
Upton upon Severn is a small and picturesque riverside town. We previously stopped overnight as part of a longer trip and enjoyed it. This time we chose Upton .... for two nights while we attended the Three Counties Showground. For such a small town there are plenty of pubs and good restaurants, boat trips and beautiful views. The apartment was beautiful and clean and very well equipped. We loved waking up in the morning with a stunning view of the lake and the wild life all around. The owners were responsive when we had any queries and checked we were having fun during our weekend break. We sat on riverside terrace at The Swan with an amazing supper, and beautiful views over the River Severn and glorious gold and purple sunset. There is free parking at the rugby club opposite the church and there are many places to choose to eat. Two riverside pubs, a tapas bar with live entertainment on the Friday when we were there and other pubs and Indian restaurants.
