    Lots of nice pubs and a few shops to browse around.

    Lots of nice pubs and a few shops to browse around. Pretty river with lots of beer gardens to enjoy the view. We had tapas at the boathouse which were delicious and reasonable priced. Seems to be lots of events happening in the area at any given time. Local cider farm looked worth a visit but didn't get time.

    Stayed overnight on our journey to Cornwall.

    Stayed overnight on our journey to Cornwall. Visited Croome first, but it is so vast we didn't have enough time to see everything so will hopefully return next year. The next morning we visited 'The Firs' and found it fascinating and enlightening re Edward Elgar.

    Upton upon Severn is a small and picturesque riverside town.

    Upton upon Severn is a small and picturesque riverside town. We previously stopped overnight as part of a longer trip and enjoyed it. This time we chose Upton .... for two nights while we attended the Three Counties Showground. For such a small town there are plenty of pubs and good restaurants, boat trips and beautiful views. All people we met were friendly and outgoing.

    The apartment was beautiful and clean and very well equipped...

    The apartment was beautiful and clean and very well equipped. We loved waking up in the morning with a stunning view of the lake and the wild life all around. The owners were responsive when we had any queries and checked we were having fun during our weekend break. The property was ideally situated for walking into picturesque Upton for shopping and eating out. We had a lovely time.

    We sat on riverside terrace at The Swan with an amazing supper, and beautiful views over the River Severn and glorious gold and purple sunset. There is free parking at the rugby club opposite the church and there are many places to choose to eat. Two riverside pubs, a tapas bar with live entertainment on the Friday when we were there and other pubs and Indian restaurants. In daytime there are lots of antique shops to browse.

    What a fabulous town to visit.

    What a fabulous town to visit. On the banks of the river Severn, several quality traditional pubs and a tapas restaurant all within meters of each other, friendly locals, probably a very nice place to live. Why would you ever leave.
