Lovely place to stay, easy access to many locations. Anglebury House a lovely old building, and comfortable. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great and set you up for the day. Very good choice of evening meals, tasty, well presented and plenty of it. We really enjoyed our stay here. Wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank You.

The house is lovely, it’s very quaint and full of character. The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality pans, etc., and there’s plenty of space to dine. The bedding is also good quality which meant we had a decent night’s sleep each night. The living room is super cosy and although you can’t get terrestrial tv because the house is in a valley, all the apps are available to be able to stream programmes. There’s a nice little pub and convenience store within a short walking distance and the property is in a great position to be able to get to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle.

    Loved the history of the place and surrounding areas. Had a fabulous visit to wareham museum followed by tea in the Priory Hotel. The church in bere regis is beautiful. Bere regis village is of outstanding natural beauty, the chalk stream at soul Bridge especially so. Saw heard of wild dear in wareham and heard of wild ponies on heartland heath. Had fabulous food at the Royal oak in Milbourn St Andrew and also at Athelhamptom House and Gardens. The church grounds at affpuddle are magical.

    This is one of my favourite places in the UK.

    This is one of my favourite places in the UK. Attractive old town centre, good bus and train services. Plenty of appealing cafés, pubs and small shops. Riverside very appealing. Surrounding countryside very attractive, plenty of good walks. Not far from the coast. Plenty to see and do in the area: Corfe Castle, Studland Bay, Swanage, Brownsea Island, and much more.

    Wareham is a town full of character and charm.

    Wareham is a town full of character and charm. Some unusual and historic buildings to be seen, and the river and Quay area was very nice for a walk in nature. Lots of pubs and cafes and interesting shops to visit. It has an "old world" feel to it.

    I'm somewhat biased as many generations of my family have...

    I'm somewhat biased as many generations of my family have come from Wareham and the surrounding area. The town itself is compact and best explored on foot. The quay area has a nice selection of pubs and restaurants, and the main streets offer the usual selection of grocery chain stores. The real beauty of Wareham is that it is the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck with its pretty villages (get off the main road!) and access to the great walking on the coastal paths and other locations.

    Wareham is fascinating - where else can you walk around town...

    Wareham is fascinating - where else can you walk around town walls that were built by Alfred the Great? and Wareham Quay is such fun, while the Abbey Church is majestic and beautiful, and St Martins church at the other end of town is austere and moving , with the reclining statue of T.E. Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia.

    Perfect location for carrying out family tree research in Wareham, Corfe Castle, Swanage and Poole. 10 minute walk to the London main line train station. Excellent position in the main street with bus stops for the mentioned towns just across the road. Top breakfast with hot plates and really pleasant service. Rooms tided every day. Interesting old building with some nice historical touches. Overall good value for money.

    Such a peaceful location! The place was warm and very well equipped. Gwen and Martin had been kind enough to provide extra unexpected treats (wine, fresh eggs, cake!!) We took a short walk from the cottage down to the stream and saw deer and heard a variety of birds. It was delightful. Wareham is picturesque as well and not too far to drive to.
