Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Warrenpoint and totally recommend the Diamond Restaurant for gorgeous food. We stayed in the Lough n Quay, a brilliant accommodation 10 out of 10. The size of the hotel was just right, not too big so had more of a personal touch from staff, especially Bernie cheerful lady who did a great breakfast for us, also Edele very helpful all the staff were but didn't get all their names. Warrenpoint is close enough to the Mourne Mountains for...
Warrenpoint is close enough to the Mourne Mountains for those wishing to climb the smaller peaks to gain access but also being beside Carlingford Lough, it can provide a pleasant evening stroll, with fresh maritime air and interesting scenery. There are several coffee shops and takeaways in the town for eating and a hotel and a couple of restaurants for a sit down meal. However, I'm not sure about booking. The town is small enough to walk around and a fairly regular bus service to Newry or to Rostrevor and Kilkeel. The Synge and Byrne cafe in KIlbroney Park, outside Rostrevor, will provide you with a cooked breakfast or great scenery for a coffee after a hard day's walking.Guest review byOrr
