Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature...
Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature. everything is authentic and not influenced by technology as it is in metropolitan areas. Air is clean and evening till morning is quiet. Godd place for hiking and camping, near by water falls and Ushba mountain has its impact on the place. I have not hiked until the Glacier however reaching waterfall area and crossing wooden bridges were thrilling enough for me. Just to highlight, as it is country side do not expect to have restaurants or Cafeteria or grocery shops. Locals with guesthouses and English language is not their preferred language. Russian language is commonly understood there. Expect simplicity and infrastructure of basic countryside with no complications. So far I had 3 visits to Mazeri, for sure I would prefer to have my own transportation to match my need and convince. If you would hire a driver there then should negotiate as prices varies and public transportation will be limited. Renting a horse is fun, if you cannot ride then can hire a guide along with the horse with extra pay. All the conditions were 100% as described, the hosts did everything possible to make our stay with them comfortable. A special thanks for the organization of the birthday party for our friend.
