It was my first time in Dedeağaç and the trip lasted only four days. It felt more like an exploration than a vacation. I think 5–6 days would be ideal next time. The beach is well-kept and enjoyable, and the area attracts a nice crowd, making it a pleasant place to relax and unwind. There are plenty of dining options, offering a variety of delicious local and international cuisine. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood or a casual café, you’ll find something that suits your taste. One thing to be aware of: crossing the Greek border from Turkey can be extremely slow, with wait times reaching two to five hours. It’s worth planning accordingly to avoid frustration. A pleasant city, everyone we met was friendly and helpful, small enough to be able to walk to all the amenities we needed. Loved the promenade (including the dance festival that was happening while we were there). Found an excellent bar (Kerouac) just round the corner, and minimarket opposite. The city is very charming, but unfortunately quite dirty. I wouldn’t recommend wearing white shoes, as they’ll quickly be covered in dust. It seems the municipality doesn’t put much effort into maintaining the cleanliness of the city. However, the people of Alexandroupoli are incredibly kind and welcoming. Some of the older residents may come across as a bit abrupt, but this is likely due to the language barrier rather than any ill intent. Overall, I still recommend Alexandroupoli for its warm-hearted people, beautiful sea, and excellent restaurants.Guest review byGuyBelgium

The location is perfect -the beach is infront of you(5 min.walk) also it's really close to the centre of Aleksandropoly. Аgia Paraskevi and Makri with their beautiful beaches are nearby. The apartment is fully equipped, very comfortable and clean! Perfect place and perfect host for your adventure in this part of Greece. There is a beach nearby but actually not a very nice one. The center of the city is not far. The host were really nice- we contacted them before the arrival and they welcomed us-no waiting.
