From the reception, where we were welcomed with kindness and professionalism, to the restaurant team, every employee made us feel both valued and genuinely cared for. Their heartfelt hospitality perfectly complements the warm atmosphere of the place. The hotel restaurant offers a varied menu inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, and our dining experience was absolutely delightful. We enjoyed a memorable dinner in a wonderful setting, where every detail – from the authentic flavors to the impeccable service – was thoughtfully prepared. We felt privileged, and we sincerely thank the entire restaurant team for the professional way they treated us. The outdoor pool, surrounded by greenery, adds an extra touch of relaxation, while the overall atmosphere of the hotel makes you feel like a welcome guest in a large and friendly home, rather than just a tourist in a lodging facility. Amalia Hotel successfully blends modern comfort with the subtle fragrance of Olympia’s history, offering each guest the chance to live an authentic, serene, and unforgettable experience. It is a place you leave with difficulty, but one you are happy to know you will return to.

Very nice, modern and clean hotel with spacious rooms and other inner areas, as well as a nice swimming pool. Close to the Olympia archeological site. The quality of the hotel quality is closer to a five-star hotel rather than to a four-star one. We received a very warm welcome and a free upgrade to a superior room with panoramic view to the surroundings of the hotel. We had a very good dinner in the cozy garden taverna of the hotel at a reasonable price. Kind and responsive staff, good breakfast, strong WiFi and air conditioning, comfortable beds, quiet environment. Free on-site parking.

A very good accommodation for those who want to stay close to the center of Ancient Olympia. It is quiet, clean and has a family atmosphere. The staff was excellent, always willing to help. Although the bathrooms are small, the rich breakfast and the overall experience make the stay unforgettable

I gave 10/10 even though room standard was very budget and normally I would give around 7/10 BUT Host was very, very, very friendful and lovely. I was there with family for one night. Room was clean, linen was clean and dry (someone wrote it was stinky -> NO it was not) Breakfast was fabulous! Localization is also very good.

Perfect location, 2 mins walking distance from train station and bus stop, 15 mins walking distance to the ruins. Friendly and smiling staff. Fast wifi. Very good price. Room had a terrace with table and chairs. :)

    Olympia town is quite small but has some very nice tavernas, cafes and ice cream shops mostly under shady trees. The Main Street has a string of souvenir shops, some of which are quite stylish. We found a little museum dedicated to the inventions of Archimedes, a good spot for an hour or so.

    Amazing archeological site and museum.

    Amazing archeological site and museum. The town is very nice, quiet, with a lot of shops and restaurants. I booked an entry at 5PM and the site and museum were not crowded. I would recommend that for a better experience. Stays open until 8pm so plenty of time.

    Your ticket is valid for all three: Archological museum, Olympic history museum and Olympia archeological site but must be used in one day. Go in Spring, it is beautiful and green compared to many other Greek sites.

    The site itself and the museum were superb.

    The site itself and the museum were superb. Best of all on November 15 we had it almost to ourselves with not a tour group in sight. We had the room with the pediments and Hermes all to ourselves. I have visited a dozen times over the past 35 years and always to share the treasures with large groups. We ran on the stadium and there was only 3 other people there. Amazing

    We saw the original Olympics Games field, went in the informative museum, saw ruins of a temple to Zeus and went in another museum related to it. There were places to relax outside. Nice restaurant in a quiet place two blocks from Hotel Hercules. Loved the Archimedes Museum and enjoyed the liveliness of the downtown area. If you have a car, going up into the mountains to see the Acropolis for Apollo, a UNESCO world site is worth it. It has more intact parts it seems that the Acropolis in Athens and is under restoration and is covered with a large tent to prevent erosion.

    Combo ticket 12E admits to Archaeological Site, Archaeological Museum, Historic Olympic Museum. Highly recommend Archimedes Museum on main street - free and super interesting. Went to Aegean Restaurant - excellent cabbage rolls and great stewed greens dish, and eggplant salad which was also delicious. Also highly recommend Europa Hotel Tavern the Garden - had a perimeter table with awesome view and excellent food. We stayed at Hotel Pelops in town, owned by same family, and perhaps we had such excellent experience with dinner because of the connection. There is also a pool at Europa that you can go to even if you are at Pelops hotel which is much more convenient to town.
