This family runned hotel exceeded all our expectations! The staff who runs the hotel is so welcoming and kind, they made us feel at home! The rooms and facilities are comfortable, we loved being on the ground floor and have direct access to the garden and pool area, while from the other side of our room we had a balcony with ocean view!!! The bus to chania stops just at the hotel entrance, which is so convenient. Plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants around, the beach is 3 minutes walk. There is a daily cleaning service which we didn’t really need but appreciate to have the option. We will definitely come back!!

We were amazed by the variation and the quality of the food served in the restaurant. The hotel served a lot dishes from the greek cuisine, which we loved. We could taste a lot of greek dishes that you could find in a restaurants menu and the flavours were superb! Our kids loved the pools and waterslides. We had a room by the main pool on the ground floor, which was very convenient with the kids. We stayed at the older part of the hotel buildings, which has a lot of greenery around🙂 The hotel buildings, gardens and overall territory was beautifully maintained ja very clean. Hotel staff was always very polite and nice to us. We liked that the hotel was close to the town. Our room seemed newly renovated and was cleaned every day. The bathroom was extremely small, with the door open, but it was no big deal for us🙂

Maria the receptionist was brilliant from the time of booking and throughout the stay. She provided alot of information on things to do and restaurants. She was friendly and provided a personal touch, an asset to the hotel. The hotel was modern, comfortable and clean and a great location to the beach. The room was spacious and had a well stocked kitchen, and the AC worked well. There is also free parking next door. They also provided beach towels and a beach bag. The hotel has a partnership with Mu Gusta restaurant where we had breakfast included and was a good start to the day. They also provided free sun loungers and umbrella. If we come to Chania again we would stay with Ostrakon Suites.

It was exactly what I did expect. Beautiful beach, clean and cozy suites. Good food and service. There are few places that you can visit but if you are like me and don't want to move you can spend the entire vacation inside the hotel perimeter. At the Galini Private served breakfast at the morning buffet breakfast.

    Most beautiful restaurants I have seen gathered in one location. Wonderful beach, a bit shallow but fun, even when there are waves. Just be reasonable and heed the lifeguards. Great selection of supermarkets with everything you need

    I love Agia Marina.

    I love Agia Marina. It has the longest beach with sandy shore where one can walk along and/or swim in the beautiful sea. There are ton of restaurants for every palate and B&B or hotels. It is one of my most favorite places to go for vacation.

    A wonderful beach with several beach bars with sunloungers...

    A wonderful beach with several beach bars with sunloungers and umbrellas for hire or for free if you have meals there. The main road can be busy but never felt unsafe, with a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all budgets. A very regular bus service to Chania was a pleasant surprise and should be on everyone's itinerary.

    We have stayed in Agia Marina five or six times over the...

    We have stayed in Agia Marina five or six times over the years and it was the first place we visited in Crete over twenty years ago. Although we like to think that we do not return to places and have travelled the world, we have been to Crete at least fourteen times and have gravitated towards Agia Marina. Now in our late 70's, we are comfortable in the knowledge that it is a safe place to holiday, with a good range of accommodation, a predictable climate for the most part, some good restaurants and shops and the people are welcoming and friendly. It is also a short bus ride or taxi (about 8 miles) from Chania, for a change of scenery, a fantastic Venetian harbour and a good range of shops and restaurants.

    Agia Marina has a great long beach, lots of lovely...

    Agia Marina has a great long beach, lots of lovely restaurants like KriKri, Koupes, Spiti, Mythos, many shops and super markets and other services you might need. Also locals are so friendly and nice. Just a little walk or drive to Platanias area with more great restaurants (Kyano, Milos etc) and many many opportunities for shopping as well. If you are looking for nice jewelry I can recommend Ira Jewelry in Platanias. And easy to get to Chania town that is only about 9 km away. Public transport works well as do taxis.

    Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets close by. Nice beach also. Good bus route into Chania. Our favourite restaurant was Nymfi and could have easily ate there every evening. The food was exceptional, as was the service and ambiance and decor were really great. Our 2 meals there were as good a dining experience as we have had and we eat out a lot. Highly recommend. We hired a car for our stay and the accommodation had its own onsite parking. Highly recommend accommodation.

    The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are having the best time. Location is great right on the beach with plenty of beach loungers. Breakfast is amazing with plenty of choice and the best sea view. From a great welcome cocktail over a handwritten recommendation list, to a goodbye present, you feel very welcome at this hotel. Plenty of parking available and loads of nice restaurants walking distance. 20min drive from Chania old town is convenient too!

    We spent the week with our 11 month old baby. Staff were lovely, the pool was fantastic, and hotel is right on the beach. Bus stop is right outside and goes to Chania. Supermarkets, restaurants and shops are all very close by. Food by the pool was very nice. The breakfast was ok. We were made to feel very welcome, and the hotel provided us with a cot for the baby. Room was basic but very comfortable and we had everything we needed.

    Modern, clean, up to date. Has anything you may need on a short trip. Also had a jacuzzi, bean bags and cleaning service despite being an apartment and not a hotel. Whoever took care of the booking was very easy to communicate with. Staff members very helpful and friendly. They also spoke English which was very helpful. Great location close to many restaurants, supermarkets and beach resorts.

    The apartment was clean and there was anything you need for your vacation. Location is great, because the ocean is near (about 200 m from the aparment), and bus stop to the chania is near. The staff was flexible, they let us make late check-out.
