Nice picturesque, unspoilt village but with good places to eat, bars, shops and a friendly welcome most places you go. The beach is pleasant and sun beds not too extortionate at 20 euros a pair. International cuisine but look for the hidden gems in little back streets with local food. Local taxi service in the square -but walk...its healthier! A beautiful picturesque village.
A beautiful picturesque village. It is amphitheatrical with houses on the hills surrounding the port and the beach. It has a variety of restaurants along the port and beach with reasonable prices. Everything is within walking distance and most of the houses and villas are linked to the port with many steps. Andros is a nice friendly Island in general, and the fact that it doesn't have an airport makes it a nice family friendly destination. Batsi on the other hand is a nice contained beach town with a clean sandy beach that is ideal for families with kids and adults alike. It is very safe and Ideal for self entertainment. Came to Villa Arni with 3 other friends and it was perfect, only a 3 minute walk down to the beach and 5 minutes to the town. Yiannis was the sweetest, kindest and most hospitable host and made sure every moment of our stay was amazing, shout out to Yiannis! This beautiful hotel in blue and white feel like a tiny greek village, with garden, flowers and a big lovely pool. Our studio had two nice rooms and three (1) balconies, one with wonderful seaview and one with pool view. Best of all is the hotel owner Rena. This lovely, generous, happy and warm lady does everything to make you feel comfortable. I can give this hotel my very best recommendations.
