Wow, what a gem of a place. Kostas and his wife were very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. The view from my room was breathtaking. The swimming pool was wonderful and refreshing. I highly recommended but secretly hope it stays off the beaten track!!

The Mirtali Art Hotel is situated in a small village about 25 minutes away from downtown Ioannina. This small bed and breakfast is in a relatively new building, so the amenities are very nice, yet it has nice rustic and artistic atmosphere. The owner and staff were all very welcoming. We enjoyed the fireplace in the lobby in the evening, and the homemade breakfast in the morning was excellent. Google maps took us right to the driveway of the hotel. There are a couple of dining options nearby in case you don't want to drive into the city for dinner.

Afroditi is very welcoming and it was great to find fruit and water for us. The room is spotlessly clean and very well equipped and the balcony has a beautiful view of the River Acheron - Afroditi pointed us to an excellent spot to bathe in it. Netflix is a bonus! The Necromanteion nearby is AMAZING and local tavernas good too.
