The place to catch the railway up the mountains to Kalavryta. It also has a limited rail service to Athens and is close the the main Pelopponees motorway. It is very much off the tourist map and the town offers little in the way of attractions. It is however ideal for those wishing a quiet stay. Without a doubt the most soulful and comfortable place we have stayed in on a fairly long journey through Greece, Italy and France. Literally 100 meters from the sea, among flowering gardens and oranges and tangerines waving on trees.
