Honestly we couldn’t have loved this hotel more. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, they gave us loads of recommendations and we just sat at the bar one evening for a night cap chatting with one of the staff on duty. The pool is next level! We watched the sunrise over the pool every morning, I can’t think of a better way to start a day. The rooms have so much space, we had our own sun beds out front. Reception helped us hire a moto, they arranged transfers for us and even ordered in food for us on our first night when we arrived late from our flight in.

We stayed at Amelie for 2 nights. If it’s your first time in Santorini, Foinikia is a small, graphic village under Oia and possibly the best location you can choose to stay. The “cave” like room is beautiful in its own simplicity but the best part would have to be the chaise longue at the yard overlooking the sunset 🌅 it’s very easy to find and would definitely recommend!!

The place is simply wonderful. I spent a fantastic week here, completely relaxed and with every possible comfort. Just a 2-minute walk away, there’s a black sand beach that’s almost always deserted. The house is spread over two levels and can accommodate up to five guests. It’s incredibly well-equipped: oven, toaster, kettle, drip coffee maker, induction stove, fridge with a small freezer compartment, and pretty much every tool and utensil you’d expect to find in a regular home. There’s always running water, and the shower and hot water work perfectly. The location is ideal—halfway between Fira and Oia—making it easy to reach all parts of the island, which is small and easy to explore. One of the most amazing things is waking up in the morning and seeing the sea right in front of you, almost close enough to touch. The view is truly priceless. Outside, there are two distinct areas. On the lower level, there’s a small sea-view landing with a stone bench and a drying rack for clothes. From here, you can walk to a gate that leads directly to the road—just cross it and you’re at the beach. On the upper outdoor level, there’s a dining table with a sea view, a cozy stone bench with cushions, and an incredibly comfortable hanging chair—perfect for reading while listening to the sound of the waves. The area is shaded by a light fabric canopy that lets in a few rays of sun. A few steps above, there are two sun loungers overlooking the sea, ideal for enjoying the evening breeze or stargazing. Honestly, I don’t think I could have been any luckier. As for the sound of cars passing below the house, I think it's exaggerated to call it noisy. At night, simply closing the windows is enough to block out any sound, especially since the house is very well air-conditioned. Plus, like anywhere, you quickly get used to the occasional car passing by. I personally wasn’t bothered at all.

We spent 5 wonderful nights at Artium Villa with Outdoor Pool by K&K in Foinikiá, and we cannot express enough how positive our experience was! The villa is located in a charming, traditional Greek village, far from the hustle and bustle of Oia, yet close enough to all the main attractions. The area is completely pedestrian, ensuring total peace and quiet with no traffic or noise disturbances. Kostantinos, the host, was impeccable: precise, available, and extremely supportive throughout our stay, making us feel truly at home. The villa is beautiful, spacious, and tastefully decorated, and it offers a stunning private pool with a sea view that left us speechless. We greatly appreciated the spotless cleanliness of the house and the attention to detail. The kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for those who love cooking even while on vacation, and the washing machine was very handy for doing laundry during the stay. If you're looking for a peaceful and authentic retreat in Santorini, with all modern comforts and excellent service, Artium Villa is the perfect place. We can't wait to return!

Location was ideal, a 15 minute walk into Oia, away from the crowds. Foinikiá is quiet and has a bus stop at the top of the hill. Mrs Rania was very polite and helpful, she was always checking up on us to see if we were ok and happy, also very helpful with booking excursions for us . Couldn’t ask for a better host !!! . I would 100% recommend Aqua Serenity Suites ! And we can’t wait to come back . Thank you for having us both .

    The place is definitely worth visiting keeping in mind that the two main areas Fira & Oya are on the hilltop. You need to be in good health. If you are not into climbing steep stairs then Kamari beach area is Fantastic for food and walk along the sea a Pramonade.

    Foinikia is mainly pedestrianised, there are lots of steps and uneven paths making it challenging for those with mobility issues. The fact that the village is a 10 minute walk from the main route to Oia makes it a great place to stay. It’s a 50 minute walk to the sunset fort location, but the sunset is visible from pretty much everywhere in the area. The shops are well stocked. The restaurants are fairly priced. Meze Meze is a beautiful restaurant with great views and well worth the steps up to it. The public parking areas are busy but we always managed to find a spot. Travel around the island takes longer than you would expect as the roads are narrow and there are some terrifyingly steep hills to negotiate. Many hire ATVs but I was glad we had a car, the air con was our saviour in the heat and a safe place to store luggage on the final day.

    Very close to Oia. Recommended for those who have a car. Amazing service from the receptionist through the staff at the bar and the cleanliness. The only thing is that you can't go into the pool in the evening, even though it's a small hotel, by the way, it's not suitable for children.

    Domaine Sigalas winery is less than a 10-minute stroll away. We enjoyed our wine tasting there, overlooking the vineyards. You can walk up a path from near the house to the centre of Finikia (with narrow walkways through white houses, some cave houses and no cars) where you will find good restaurants with views. Our favourite "Krinaki" was recommended by our hosts. Not the best photo but it gives you the feel. Thankyou to Yiannis for looking after us there.

    A very beautiful place just 10 minutes walk from the busy streets of Oia. A perfect place to stay to have a quiet break with amazing views. There are soke beautiful restaurants and a store and historic paths to walk around. An easy walk to the stunning Oia Town.
