This place is absolutely charming. There are a number of small beaches right across from the village, many with a shower, changing cabin and umbrella. A picturesque old town that has maintained its character (unlike nearby places like Itea). There is not a lot to do; a couple of days would suffice for Galaxidi; however, you can use it to explore the area. For example the orqacle of Delphi is 30 mins away. Arachova is not far. Nafpaktos abotu 40 mins away. So Galaxidi is a great place to use as a base. In Galaxidi itself there are plenty of good restaurants and tavernas as well as bars and coffee places. The reason I prefer it is the clean room, the very friendly people who run the hotel, the breakfast that is ample and home made, the parking which is right outside the hotel (not street parking) and the location. The hotel is on a quiet corner one block from the harbor and the center of life of Galaxidi. You can walk everywhere from this hotel. The air-conditioning was very welcome as the weather was very hot in July. The house is right in the middle of Galaxidi and in close walking distance to the harbour, cafes and shops.
