A quaint little town, with friendly locals and a beautifully maintained town. Restaurant Platia was a delicious place to eat, and good value. They had a delicious local wine to try and the hospitality was exceptional. We returned 3 times to eat there. A nice gem away from the main city of Naxos. We used electric bikes to get around. I lost the key but it only cost €25 to replace the key. So don't panic if it happens to you! (We rented them from Naxos not Galini)Guest review byCiaraIreland - 10.0
Galini and Eggares are the two nearest villages to Palatiana...
Galini and Eggares are the two nearest villages to Palatiana. Both have taverna's and basic shopping facilities. The Stella Taverna in Eggares is particularly good. The surrounding countryside is wonderful and Amitis Beach which has The Blue Ocean Beach Bar is also a great combination. We were here in mid June '22 so the season had not quite taken off yet.
