This resort is just gorgeous! Incredible staff, with impeccable facilities. I loved the area. Loved the breakfast every morning. I particularly enjoyed being close to Gavrio, Batsi and nearby beaches. The patio outside was a nice touch, as was the pool. Definitely coming back for another stay at this wonderful place!

We were there in May so not quite season.

We were there in May so not quite season. It’s very small but served as a good base to visit the island. Some good tavernas. Bit nothing else to do there. Not a beach nearby that is nice for swimming or tanning so would probably recommend Batsi over Gavrio.

Gavrion (Gavrio) is a main ferry port in Andros, but it is not too busy to compare with other Greek ports. It has a charming laid back atmosphere although sometimes (when the ferry comes) might seem busy and chaotic and when there is no ferry - a bit boring. It has everything what an undemanding tourist might need - 2 bakeries, 1 big and 2 or 3 small supermarkets, few tavernas, 2 car rentals. It is a good choice for the base if you want to travel around the island and you have a car. It doesn't have a big beach, but it is free from the hustle of Batsi.

I like Gavrio because it peaceful and still near the port.

I like Gavrio because it peaceful and still near the port. There is enough shops and restaurant and beaches near. But for better experiences you need a car or moto. Andros is very big island with different things to see. Its not only about beaches there are nice villages too and interesting old town and even waterfalls in the mountain. Also for walkers lot of good signed paths.

Not busy, but with enough to do when you don't feel like going anywhere else. The port is there which makes arrival and departure days stress-free, and also 5 minutes drive from the best beaches on the island.

I went with my boyfriend of a week and our stay at Gavrion...

I went with my boyfriend of a week and our stay at Gavrion was incredible. The locals are very friendly and the food delicious. The food may be expensive in some restaurants, you need to know where to search. The locals there helped us a lot Finding the best restaurant for price and quality of food, which was "Pame Vaggeli". Everything in Gavrion is near to each other, which means you can explore the region on foot. However, if you don't own a car, the ticket for the local bus is 5€ per person to explore the whole island and the city of Andros. Also the souvenirs in the city are expensive so I advice to shop in Gavrion where they are cheaper.

We travel a lot, but this place stayed in our hearts. Everything is fresh, minimal and elegant. No plastic sunbeds, no generic buffet, no crowds, just peace, nature, elegance and beauty. Our private jacuzzi was so hot and clean, we stayed inside it every night enjoying our wine with music. Breakfast was like a Michelin brunch elegant, colorful, healthy, sooooo tasty and full of local flavor. Served on our terrace with flowers and love. Nikos, the owner, is the heart of this place. Not a hotelier, but an artist of hospitality.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The view is amazing (watching the ferries), it's close enough to the port of Gavrio with supermarkets, tavernas and car rentals. To the beach it's maybe 15-30 minute walk, depending on the beach. It's also possible to go for a swim just below Pharos apartments, but it's a bit difficult to access.

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. The staff were pleasant, upon departure we were kindly offered a lift down to the port to help with all our luggage. The hotel was quiet and a short walk away from the ferry port. We also had a pool and sea view from our balcony which was beautiful. Thank you for our stay.

Very good location with excellent view on Gavrion and the sea. Very good for relaxation. Becuase it was up the hill and the rooms had stairs, it is more suited for younger ages than us as a group of people over 70. The owner of the place was very helpfull in arrangin an extra room without stairs.
