What did we like about the property? Absolutely everything!!! Where should I start from? Well… * The Location, amazing location on a hill side with an outstanding view to the sea, a very quiet area where you can enjoy the silence and the nature. Extremely close to some amazing beaches. * The Villa, very tidy and clean, with all the comfort that one could ask, spacious bed rooms (2), very comfortable bed, kitchen with all of the possible appliances that you could think of, and so on… everything is extremely clean high quality and perfect! * The Pool, very nice sized pool, infinity pool that makes you feel that you are swimming in your own piece of the Mediterranean sea. * The host, Nikos, how can I finish my review without mentioning the host? Every little question/request that i had he was more than helpful at any time, both before we arrived and during our stay. Very nice person that knows how to treat his clients, very hospitable… thank you very much Nikos! We will definitely come back! Every small detail in those villas is well thought out! Absolutely amazing! We’ve been in many luxurious 5 star hotels and places and this place is couple of steps above them all.

A very considerate host. The house had all the equipment and materials you would need for the first days so you don't have to rush to the super market. Even olive oil, salt pepper, eggs, break, coffee, jam were provided. This is how it should be, well done! The house is also very well maintained and in good condition.

Bottom line: Much more than expected - excellent! Usually when I’m booking a place, even with good exam of the details offered, I’m downgrading it in 20%…BUT NOT IN THIS CASE. Stella is a huge surprise. Not because it is some super luxurious place (in some measures it’s getting close) but because it is new, clean, beautiful, comfortable, homie, great view (I’ve been told I’ll get “the Mountain View” but it was both mountain and sea) the staff: Paris and the young lady (sorry for not remembering her name) and the household staff. In my point of view this was the best value for money and even more. Love the design love the attitude, loved everything.

The staff is really friendly and helpful, the garden with the pool and the bar at the entrance are very nice. Breakfast has a lot of choices and the location is 5 mins walking from the beach but far from the noisy town centre. The room is fine (special mention to the bathroom). Highly recommended!!!

    Kalamaki Beach is generally well-sheltered compared to other beaches on the south coast of Crete. However, it can still get breezy, especially in the afternoons when the meltemi (northern summer wind) picks up. That said, the wind is usually mild and refreshing—not disruptive—making it pleasant for sunbathing and swimming.

    A small, quiet, typical tourist settlement - the beach, shops and several good restaurants. A large number of cats in the entire area, but it was not bothersome. 15-20 minutes drive to two towns where there is a weekly market and a larger variety of shops.

    The beach is lovely - sandy and not too busy.

    The beach is lovely - sandy and not too busy. The sea is clean and perfect temperature for snorkelling, swimming or playing in. About half the beach has sunloungers on it but there is space to also play sports or just sit away from other people. There are lots of places to visit from Kalamaki - Matala beach with its caves, ancient Phaistos, Zaros lake and Rouvas gorge, Agia Galini is not far if you want to take boat trips. Kalamaki has a really good supermarket and lots of restaurants even though it is a small place. Lots of different nationalities of holidaymakers. It is a really nice, relaxing place. The sunsets from the beach are incredible

    Kalamaki is a great little beachfront town with a good selection of restaurants, a supermarket, and a few characterful shops. Ideal for us, but don't visit if you're looking for bright lights and nightlife.

    Good location in the center of cosy village of Kalamaki. Nice sea view on front balcony from behind couple other buildings. Good taverns right next to the apartment and beach almost next to the aparment. The apartment was very well supplied for two people and everything worked out easily. Very good value for the price.

    The location and the rooms were very good. But the best thing about our stay was the amazing hospitality of our wonderful host. He made us feel incredibly welcome. If we would not have already paid for our next hotel we would have stayed longer.
