    The beach is fine, enough place for everyone, but I would not stay there longer than one day beacause the sand is only on the beach and when you enter the sea there is only lava. It was interesting experience, but I would definitely not recommend especially if you are travelling with children - it is very slippery and it is easy to fall down and hurt yourself on a rock. The place itself is nice but I doubt I will return to such a beach. But that was nice to try at least :D

    Kamari is great to visit.

    Kamari is great to visit. Nothing is too far, you can get the local buses to Fira, or the airport. I went on a full day tour and visited most places such as pyrgos, tharisia island, hot springs, volcano, Oia for sunset. All very beautiful. You have to trek the scenic view from Oia to Fira- one of the best walks in the world! Every place I ate was delicious. Never had a disappointing meal.

    Lots of lovely tavernas and bars. The locals are really friendly. Take beach shoes as the pebbles can be painful under foot. Be careful to find out where the rocks in the sea are slippery. The beach closer towards the rock (The Hook Bar end) has a safer entrance to the sea. Dimitris Greek night is great fun, there is an open air cinema close by, too! Great reviews. There are too many places to recommend for food, drink, sports, music, karaoke. I don't think there are any places I wouldn't recommend.

    We loved our accommodation at thousand stars and highly recommend it. Took a private highlight tour of the island which was amazing. Negatives on Kamari include swimming at the beach which was very hazardous when entering and leaving the water due to the lava levels underfoot. Also, being constantly hassled by the same people to take a massage.

    It's not a sandy beach, but it's very beautiful.

    It's not a sandy beach, but it's very beautiful. You should have that special shoes to walk on the beach because of the little rocks. We used public transportation and it's ok. The price is fair and they have buses to all the main places of the island. We had breakfast at a small coffee shop near the hotel and it was amazing both the food and the staff. There's a street with good restaurants and many souvenir stores near the beach.

    Kamari is a fantastic destination – in our opinion, the best...

    Kamari is a fantastic destination – in our opinion, the best place to stay on Santorini. It is lively but still peaceful, with crystal-clear water and beaches covered with black pebbles. The main promenade along the sea is full of shops and restaurants. Prices are similar to other Greek islands. It is just a 10-minute drive from the airport, and there are regular buses to Fira. Taxis are more expensivem, a one-way ride to Perissa, Fira, or Oia costs €40, we ordered taxis via the Uber application. You can also take a boat from Kamari to Perissa for €8 per person – we definitely recommend trying that experience. Overall, Kamari is a much better place to stay than Perissa. The whole resort is right by the sea and has better beaches. Oia is a beautiful place, but extremely crowded, the beaches are difficult to access from the hill and will probably be expensive, we recommend just taking a trip there.

    What a find! A family-run hotel with real heart! The proprietors treated guests like family and provided everything we asked for. The hotel is really spacious too, with a bigger pool and grounds than most in the area, to relax and enjoy. Moments from the beach, cafes and shops, it is perfectly positioned to have a great time in Kamari. We stayed in a few places in Santorini and this was the best! It is also close enough to explore other parts of the island whilst staying in Kamari which is more relaxed, cooler and calmer that places like Fira.

    We only stayed for one night, arriving in the evening and needing to catch our flight early in the morning (gates closed at 9:40). The staff were amazing – even though breakfast usually starts at 8:00, the receptionist kindly prepared a special breakfast set for us the night before and stored it in the fridge, so we could eat before our journey. The pool was beautiful, the room was very clean with a large balcony and an incredible view of the sunrise. If we come back to Santorini and Kamari, this hotel will definitely be our first choice.

    My flight was late and I arrived Santorini around 1:00am in the morning instead 10:00pm. Matt was so helpful and he even came to airport (at 1:00am! ) to guide me to property as my GPS was not working for my rented car. He ensured I'm settle comfortably after my terrible delayed flight travel. Matt and his wife was very helpful through out our stay. The location of the property is very close to the airport and beautiful Kamari beach. Definitely I'll recommend my friends for the stay with Alafouzos studio.

    Staff fantastic nothing was too much trouble. The team attend to your every need. Hotel is spotless. Rooms are immaculate and cleaned every day, towels changed on our side in the luxury suites changed twice per day. Towels provided for all the sunbeds. Breakfast was substantial and varied, was delicious and you also had the option to have omelette and eggs made to your preference. The best hotel in Kamari would absolutely recommend this hotel for your holiday in Santorini.
