All beaches were clean and tidy. Enjoyed by the locals, often staying past sundown. Lots of tavernas to enjoy. Short walk to 2 supermarkets if needed, well stocked. Kato Daratso is a lovely beach location a couple of kilometers outside Chania centre which you can walk into along the beach in 15/20 minutes or take the bus which stops every 15 minutes at the top of the road and takes you in in 5 minutes for €1.20. The Theodosi restaurant is highly recommended. There are a number of supermarkets and pharmacies in the area. Vivid village with plenty of of restaurants and shops, even Lidl. There is car rental and also travel agency as well, in case you want a book an excursion. The beach is super sandy and there is surf/SUP rental. The hosts were friendly and helpful. 4 beautiful beaches can be reached in a few minutes. The pool provided fantastic relaxation, it was very clean and was cleaned regularly. The olive trees are beautiful and provide good shade throughout the day. We drank the most delicious coffee here during our stay in Crete! The hotel is located in a quiet environment. Right next to the some of most beautiful beaches we seen on the island, and only 15 minute bus journey into Chaniá.
