Terra Minoica is an extraordinary place where everything is done for the pleasure and comfort of visitors. Very nice apartment with sea view furnished with care and perfectly equipped. The garden around is wonderful and each apartment has its own little outdoor garden furniture. The cleanliness of our apartment was absolutely impeccable thanks to the cleaning lady. It is a moment of great privilege to have been here for a few days. We will come back for sure! Special mention for the welcome on arrival and throughout the stay by Stratis, a lovely and professional young man. Strengths of the place: EVERYTHING! Weak point: NONE!

The Location at all!!! Right to the Beach- you have it all, what you REALLY need, and MORE!! Extremely FRIENDLY Staff there! The Room itself was simple, but very CLEAN and the Bed was very comfortable, NO backpain next Morning! The enclosed Taverna (from same owner) offers delicious Food at a reasonable Price. Service was VERY kind, HONEST, funny and attentive! Wenn had a continental BF, included, wich was very good. (Delicious toasted Bread and Pastry, Greek Yohurt, OJ and Coffee, Jam+ Honey- SIMPLE, bit really enough until Lunch!) We had a GREAT STAY and received MUCH more than expected! Was definately WORTH the drive out of Melidoni. THANK YOU for everything, even if we had just one night. Shame on US!!!

The apartment was super clean and complete with everything you need, the furniture is really beautiful, there is a bed for toddlers in the living room, also toys for kids in the cabinet, it has a very spacious balcony with windows to control the wind and with extra seats and extra beds, the kitchen have many appliances with very pretty tiles in the wall, induction stove that makes cooking super easy, the fridge was super clean and new, the bathroom has a bathtub and a very nice shower, the bed is very comfortable, the floor is amazing, the decoration is very beautiful, is an excellent place 10/10.

Host is the kindest person on the planet. The house is so well decorated you fill like in a fairy tale. I have no words enough for the hospitality I received. Thank you!!! It's also really close to the seaside, you can go on foot. One of the best places I've been to in Xerokampos, and I have been to several.

    Beautiful beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas and friendly tavernas onto the beach. Its slight remoteness means its not overrun with tourists and is very peaceful. Do get up early to walk the Gorge - stunning.

    Ideal for active folks who like an authentic Greek beach hamlet vibe. Nice terrace, good views, lovely staff. Good food. It’s not a big room but has great lighting. Mosquito spray helped our dinner experience ;), thanks for offering it to us. All in all, a comfy restful overnight!

    Kato Zakros is lower Zakros, a very small village with several tavernas, a pebbly beach with parasols & loungers and a tiny harbour where the fishing boats come and go. No shops here. Picturesque, set in spectacular hills and to stay in a local house or apartment is bliss. A 10-15 minute trip in car takes you to Ano Zakros, that's upper Zakros which has plenty of shops, supermarkets and a Pharmacy. Visit the mountain source of the water spring here. Fabulous. There is a really excellent Natural History Museum here in Ano Zakros- a must to visit, €3, where a wonderful knowledgeable lady gave us terrific information on local area. Tavernas here too. I forgot to mention the Gorge...a great walk through the Gorge of the Dead, I think so called because Minoan people may have buried their dead in the holes in the hills. Stunning place. Long walk, about 4 hours from beginning to end coming out at different place.

    Kato Zagros has an excellent beach, in fact more than one. Plenty of parking. Choice of beachside restaurants. A great Minoan excavation and the Zagros (Deadman) Gorge walk starts in the town. There are many walks to explore. Serviced by daily tour buses.

    This is a place of peace and quiet. Great area for walking.

    This is a place of peace and quiet. Great area for walking. There is the archealogical site, the gorge of the Dead to visit. Lots of choice for eating, i would recommend Akrogiali Taverna. Our accommodation was up high above the beach, which was not so good for anyone with problems walking.

    Loved this little patch of heaven.

    Loved this little patch of heaven. We came in late September, it was really quiet with about 20 people spread on a relatively large beach. There are a few tavernas and hiking routes here so most people were hikers. If you want loud bars and busy this isn’t the place for you. If you want to unwind and be quite isolated then this place is it.

    A great location on the hill above Kato Zakros. Outside were hammocks, lots of chairs to gaze over the valley to the sea. Inside was very traditional (the clue is in the name...) with dark decor and collections of old farrier tools on the walls. Not like anywhere else we have stayed! Kitchen area and bathroom with the bathroom easily reached from the bed. A great night at the local taverna, recommended by our host, who was charming, and lovely views. The sea front restaurants are all lovely. Zakros and the mountains are a must-see.

    A charming and spacious apt with sea view, clearly a thought was given to every little detail. The balcony was great for relaxing in full view of the sea and a thanks to the unfailing breeze it was very nice even on hot summer days. Very quiet, every apt has its own space and the whole place is well mai tained and beautiful. A great place for relaxation and the beach was not crowded at all. Being on the ver eastern end of Crete it takes time to get there, but to me it was well worth the trip

    I booked last minute as I was on the road & decided to stop. It's a nice apartment, large with everything you need. It's up on the old road to Zakros so great views. Nikos, Manoli & Giorgos from the Taverna at kato Zakros are helpful & super friendly, you collect the key from there.. Zakros minoan palace ruin is just down the road & walking to the gorge is easy. Great food there right on the beach, peaceful, traditional & good for the soul. I will return 😀..efharisto

    A gem at the end of Crete! Our room was extremely clean and it had small but fully equipped kitchen. It also had a private balcony with a garden view where we enjoyed our meals. The garden itself is amazing and there is plenty of space to lounge during the day. We were also surprised how attentive and caring the staff was. I hope we visit again one day!
