This hotel is amazing! Great infrastructure, the rooms are beautiful and clean! All the staff extremely nice and welcoming, from reception, bars, restaurants, trainers, cleaning staff, everyone! Amazing clean pools, comfortable sunning beds, the beach is clean, everything top notch! The service and food at breakfast and dinner amazing! They even have the app to plan and organise your stay in more easy and efficient way! Loved it! The best stay in Greece for sure! And a big plus, they are kind to local cats! Offer them water and food in designated areas!

I booked this hotel for my mother. She had the pleasure of staying at the Lunar Hotel, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The location is unbeatable – just 50 meters from the sea, allowing for easy beach access and stunning views. The hotel itself is either newly built or freshly renovated, and everything was spotlessly clean. The room had all the comforts we needed, including air conditioning and other modern amenities. What makes this place truly special is the warm, family-run atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and professional, and you can feel the care they put into every guest’s experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted with drinks and snacks in the room, a lovely touch that made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was another highlight. It is freshly prepared upon request, and every day offered something new and varied. We were even treated to snacks brought to the room daily, a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated. The hotel’s proximity to the beach (only 50 meters!) and being located on the first line by the sea makes it the perfect spot for anyone looking to relax by the water. Overall, the personalized service, attention to detail, and the warm, family-like vibe make Lunar Hotel a standout place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and comfortable stay in Hersonissos.

    As it’s built into the mountains, reasonable mobility is desirable, however it is disable friendly and the taxis are cheap, On site there are lots of steps and inclines to the facilities, as well as lifts, but I’m sure a persons needs could be accommodated to all the pools and restaurants. I’m 71 and managed to walk into town/star beach ok, enjoyed the exercise tbh! Overall the hotel is brilliant for families with children of all ages. I would go back for sure! The town is superb, so much choice for eating/drinking out, shopping good, usual touristy stuff! People are friendly and very helpful.

    Very nice Old Hersonissos. Many good restaurants and bars. Who likes more "turistic" area the new part of Hersonissos on the coast with lots of bars, restaurants, clubs and shopping street is very close.

    The town has a lot to offer great food, bars, clubs.

    The town has a lot to offer great food, bars, clubs. At night the town comes alive with lots to do and see. The cost of taxi rides are all the same and we stayed just outside at the Arminda hotel and spa (which was amazingly good). It's a great location to explore the island as the main road is a couple of miles away and this connects the island East to West. It was such a lovely place that I will probably go back sometime in the future.

    Amazing Resort and extensive facilities on site. Staff are amazing. Also one of the best mani/pedi I ever had at the salon. Resort is about 30 minutes from airport, and would say for a 5* Europe resort, this lives up to expectation, but don't compare to a 5* Caribbean or Mexico Resort, so bear that in mind. We stayed at the Ocean view room which had spectacular views. The Rocky beach was just fantastic with the lounges and beds, and considering how busy this resort is, never noticed it and never felt overcrowded, and you never had to reserve benches or lounges by the beach or pool, there was more than enough to go round and even more spare. A la Carte restaurants that were amazing and my favourites are Umi (Sushi), Azzuro (Italian), Thalassa for breakfast & lunch, Poseidon. A real let down of the restaurants was Nami, only delicious items were the Starters. Staff at this resort were fantastic overall, but special thanks to the following: Anastasi, Konstantina, Angelina, Ritsa and Lucas.

    Hersonissos is lively to many restaurants and bars. Having a car is an advantage as the best beaches and many restaurants recommended to us were not within walking distance. Best nearby restaurants were Areston and Avli. Skipper is reaonable on the restaurant strip. A bus service is available but we did not use it. Lots to do in Heraklion which can be reached by bus or car. We went to Agios Nikolaos and to Elounda. Good walks in both directions from the flat

    I recommend all inclusive because the prices at the terrace and restaurants are quite high.The mayor's office should take care of the city because there are many places that look like after the war.

    I love everything about the place. The hard-working receptionists, cleaners, entertainers, drivers, managers bar attendants always want to make life comfortable. I was impressed with Nicos and the managers who made our life very smooth any time we approached them with an issue. The place was always super clean with lots of food, entertainment, drinks, wines, and a lot more. I cannot fault this place and I recommend it highly to everyone who wants to travel to Crete. ,

    The perfect destination for a family reunion and wedding in Crete. The little village and surrounds were traditional Greek and local family-run restaurants such as Nicho's Seafood were outstanding. Eleni was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble. The facilities at Villa Iokasti were so much more than we expected. The Iokasti restaurant also had exceptionally good food. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.

    Lovely hosts, always available and with plenty suggestions to explore and enjoy the area. The accommodation was absolutely lovely, very clean and quiet, with a beautiful view on the bay and sea, both from our rooms and from the breakfast terrace, and just a few minutes away by car from gorgeous beaches. We would love to come back here and enjoy the unique Crete hospitality and it's people.
