Nicely and tastefully decorated.Well-equipped kitchen with a lovely terrace. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by the owners (Gianis and Nikos). The welcome pack containing local products it was really great!!They were very helpful in answering all of my questions and providing recommendations of beaches, local attractions and dinning. They helped us book travel needed to/from the airport. The location was perfect, a quiet spot, centrally located near the airport, beaches, attractions (such Katholiko Monastery and kalathas beach), water sport-rent services stand up paddle, kayak etc.at the kalathas beach was really fun for the kids. Short drive away from the city of chania!(15 minutes). The home was large and fit our needs perfectly, including spacious outside trances that were great place to enjoy our morning breakfast.The kichen has all the equipment required should you wish to prepare home cooked food, a Sunday roast for all the family was no problem.Washer/dryer and clothes airer for dealing with dirty clothes.All the bedrooms have air condition with low noise figure. I highly recommend staying here whether you are looking for a quite retreat or a perfect location to rest in between a packed agenda!

Beautifully furnished and fully equipped, but the best part is the view from the balcony/pool area...truly sensational! Great communication with Keren prior to arrival, and Niki was so helpful throughout our stay. Elevated location so good to have a car. I would highly recommend this villa!

The location of this place is brilliant, close to airport without much noise, peaceful area, permanent breeze due to being on a hill, close to Chania for evenings out or daytime visits, and close enough to visit Rethymnon (1 hour) for a day. We of course drive to all the other famous north western and south western beaches & lagoons. There are 2 flats next to each other, there will be 2 more above these but the decorations aren't finished for the top floor so it was very peaceful. The appartment is spacious, clean and new (perfect for us but not luxury). Beautiful view of the sea, mountains & sunset. Big glasses & mugs were a plus. Coded entrance to the building. Plenty of free parking available along unbuilt plots of land. Aircon is in the lounge but not in the bedroom. 2 minutes by car to small supermarkets, pharmacy and at least 2 "open all day" restaurants (Irenes is great, we didn't try the grill). We have travelled to many different Cretian beaches over the years, we found 2 local beaches very close (by car) which have soft, white sand & even on big wave days (along the north coast) these BLUE FLAG beaches (agios) (Onoufrios & Kalathas) are in coves where the water stayed flat enough and warm. No steep descent to get in the water and quiet even in July. Onoufrios beach has a chair for wheelchair users to slide into the sea. Both have lifeguards. The prettier beach, the sunbeds were far more expensive on Kalathas beach, so we advise to go to the beach at 15h, swim in the sea & take a sunbed when the guy finished work at 17h. Personally, we found this our best location to stay and we will happily return.

The place was very modern. On arrival at the place, we were greeted by professional and friendly staff. They also talked us through the room facilities and gave us a complimentary sparkling wine. The massage therapist Maria was also amazing in the spa sessions. Extremely professional and we felt so much more relaxed after the therapy session :) 100% recommending their spa facilities. We will definitely book again when we come to Chania again.

During our 3-day stay at Kydon Hotel, we found nothing to dislike. In fact, it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at in Crete. The location is excellent, with convenient parking facilities. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our stay. Speaking of the staff, a special thank you goes to Kiki. She consistently went above and beyond our expectations. Her fantastic French and her invaluable advice on the best beaches to visit in Chania made our trip even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from, and everything was always spotless. Overall, we had an amazing experience and highly recommend Kydon Hotel to anyone visiting Crete.
