The view from the balcony was amazing and the layout of the aparment was very spacious and open. I've never seen a kitchen so well equipped like this! The owners are extremly caring and will go miles to make your stay perfect.

Stay was exceptionally pleasant and memorable. Location was easy to find off of main road. Well lit, gated and spacious private parking. Manicured lawn with bountiful foliage bordered by watermelon farm and sweet scent in the air. Larger than most, warm and clean swimming pool with small jaquzzi/kids pool attached. 4 apartments total in pristine mint condition with quality building materials. Well appointed bed, bath and kitchens as well as clothes washing machine in suite. Beds super comfortable and fresh linens. Extremely clean throughout. Hosts Stavros, Olga and George were super friendly, attentive and helpful. A definite return visit to a great stay and wonderful hosts. Thank you!

    I was after a bit of down-time out after a long cycle with...

    I was after a bit of down-time out after a long cycle with several friends, so the quiet little rural seaside town suited me. The harbour is being structurally rebuilt so I couldn't get a boat out to Proti island which was a disappointment. There are a few good beaches along the generally rugged coastline and some lovely restaurants in town. The agricultural nature of area means that it is not consistently pristine and there is a fair amount of farmers' litter evident. It would be ideal to have had a car for more exploring.

    Nice town, lots of places to eat suiting all budgets. Couple of bakeries, supermarkets. Waterfront locations but some nice places on the second row in too. Friendly working town, most of the tourists were Greek and probably outnumbered by locals. Good base, lots close by.

    Marathopoli is a nice small (fisher) village.

    Marathopoli is a nice small (fisher) village. Easy to find, cosy. Few tavernas, excellent view to the sea. In the village itself is not much to see or do. But its a good starting pint to go and explore nearby towns (Pylos, Methoni etc), a number of beaches. Kalamata on not far away.

    Marathopolis appears to be in the midst of a big push to...

    Marathopolis appears to be in the midst of a big push to improve its tourist potential, just as Pilos, Gialova and the surrounding coast have transformed into upmarket resorts over the past twenty years. However, even though the town does have a large selection of seaside resaurants and bars leading out of the port, they are hampered by the extremely rocky coastline for some miles north and south. A pity, since this will make all the difference to the tourist market.

    I loved absolutely everything about this place. This is most instagrammable hotel in peninsula. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. We have large terrace with nice table for breakfast. Pool is amazing, with very comfortable sunbathe chairs. Everywhere ar small tables with chairs under olive trees or hammocks. They have pool bar. So everyone can find their perfect spot for resting. This place is amazing.

    Probably one of the best apartments in Greece we have stayed in. Very clean, kitchen functional with hob and microwave, toiletries, fluffy towels, comfy bed, the whole place is exceptionally clean. Nespresso machine with pods a lovely touch, having a morning coffee in the beautiful tranquil gardens surrounded by olive trees, very beautiful. Thank you Nancy for the little gifts you gave us.

    Recently built hotel, with nice spacious rooms. A tasty breakfast served in front of the pool. The staff was quite helpful and although the view from most of the rooms is not quite good (you either look at the back of another building of the hotel, or the road in front of you), the location is very convenient for reaching Lagouvardos beach.

    The appartment was bright and airy and it had two balconies. There was always a bit of breeze from the see so we slept without air-con on. The hotel has a nice terrace with swimming pool, bar and the restaurant. The prices are very reasonable and food was good.

    Hotel was clean and tidy sandwiched between the open sea and the harbour. Rooms were a good size and the balcony was huge. There was basic cooking equipment and plenty of hot water. Our room was to the rear of the hotel and the view was good
