Perfect hotel to stay if flying from Athens. Close to Raffina and airport. Very comfortable bed, nice breakfast buffe, pool and outdoor terrace with access direct to the beach. Nice area for a morning run along the coast and a few restaurants just steps away from the hotel.

It's a beautiful location. I stay every time I come to this area. The owner is a man of extraordinary nobility, politeness and kindness, descended from old times. You look at him and it's like you're embarrassed to say something. Everything is very clean ,even though it is a hotel with years behind it. Good breakfast compared to other locations...those extraordinary oranges, quality butter, toasted brad, eggs from conutry. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, quiet. He is at your disposal for anything. I changed rooms because I am non-smoking and the single room smelled of cigarette smoke.And it was no problem. Close to the beach, cafe, the main road to airport. Everything is very ok and I will return with pleasure whenever I have the opportunity.

    Lovely hotel and very clean. Breakfast very good. The pool area and gardens were lovely. The only downside was there were a few people / families around the pool that were not guests taking up sun beds. Overall excellent hotel with a few restaurants within easy walk.

    Very small town but good selection of bars, restaurants and hotels. Always the sound of the sea gently lapping the shore. A short walk out of town takes you to a smart restaurant called Samia and a lovely rustic Greek taverna serving fresh fish and both right by the sea.

    We were welcomed with a smile and warm greetings. Informed us of the times food would be served, for evening and breakfast, asked if we needed anything, if so please ask. Helpful with directions to local restaurants. The hotel was super clean and fresh, our room had good view of the sea, clean, bed was comfortable.

    Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out.

    Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out. Good food and a small local shop. The hotel is around 40 minutes to Athens town, taxi's are between 35 to 40€. 48€ if you book through the hotel. Local bus is hourly but to get to Athens you'd need to change and then get a train. We only went into Athens for one day via taxi and crammed everything in. If you book a return taxi it's cheaper. Athens Site-seeing, markets and local shops are fabulous. We walked around Mati but it's in the suburbs so no site-seeing. but our holiday was to relax and Mati hotel was perfect for that. We'd go again.

    We liked the pool and beach view from our room.

    We liked the pool and beach view from our room. We liked the outdoor dining option overlooking the beautiful Aegean Sea and good waiter service. We really liked our early morning swim in the lovely warm sea, on our last day in Greece before the long flight back to Australia. That was a highlight. I would recommend Mati as a relaxing option outside of the hectic city centre of Athens. I wished we’d stayed there longer.

    Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.

    Mati is well located near the Athens Airport. For arriving or leaving Greece a nice stop. Also if you want to avoid loosing days by travelling by boat or plane to all kind of holiday locations in Greece it is a nice alternative as the coast at Mati is nice and the views are the same as on many Greek Islands. Use your money to rent a car and visit the Peloponesos and Athens at your doorstep. Mati is a quiet and small village without many stores.

    Mati Hotel is our favourite place to stay and we have been going there for some years now. On our annual trips to Greece. The staff are lovely, friendly and really helpful. The location is great, right on the coast with fantastic views over the bay of Marathon and Evia. It’s quiet and peaceful and there’s a beautiful large swimming pool. The decor is tasteful with some nice antique and art deco pieces. Very handy for the airport and the port of Rafina too, they will arrange taxi transfers for you. Excellent value for money.

    Great position directly on the beach about 30 minutes by car from Athens airport. Restaurants and mini market are next door but also the hotel offered food and drinks near the pool with a fantastic ocean view. Very friendly welcome by the receptionist and all staff we met. Our room on the 4th floor had a scenic ocean view, too, and we found it clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Overall a great option to stay at the seaside near Athens.

    For me it was a nice location on the seafront, quiet area (I’m not big on city centres) , about 45-60mins from Athens in a taxi if you want to go in and do all the site seeing. Good for a stopover but probably not for a weeks holiday. Has a decent spa and breakfast was good, clean but quite outdated. Staff were friendly.
