Great place to stay if you're in the area -- and with a car, much is convenient too. Comfortable, clean, nicely set up in the center of the medieval town; lovely balcony too; everything was just fine; and it was great having coffee available for our mornings. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

We arrived late in the night from Lesvos to Mesta Port - it was kind of them to pickup us up to walk us to the property. They even took the trouble to prepare some breakfast for us. The following day, after visiting Pygri, we got lost in the castle coz every door in the castle looks the same and someone has to put down his work to walk us back. Then somehow we managed to lock ourselves out with the key inside and received very prompt help and another unique experience besides getting lost in the castle. The property itself is right inside the pentagon shaped castle of Mesta, a stones throw away from the Panagia …the interior itself is very unique and nicely decorated with artefacts. I love the retro looking appliances too - it is a nice touch. It is a perfect location to explore Mesta and nearby Pygri. I recommend a walk to seek out the 5 towers of the castle and of course not to miss the unique architecture next door in Pygri. Throughout my stay, I received very strong support from the owner as if he is just next door. My kids commented that the people of Chios are the most welcoming we had experienced throughout our stay in Greece.

We really like our hotel’s atmosphere and it was just few steps away from the village square. Before check-in our hotel owner contact with us and he met us at the entrance. He gave us a tour in the village and he informed us super helpful information about village and swimming places near the hotel.

The house is lovely. Ideal for couples, nice balcony. It is just outside the walls of the medieval town, which is really spectacular. There are several nice cafes in the square close by and good small supermarkets and tourist shops.

Such a lovely stay, close to centre, very clean and cute. Unique vibe that I have never seen elsewhere. The owner really helped us with tips for food and beaches nearby, which was beautiful and always good. Thank you so much and hopefully see you again sometime.

The location is close to the village of Mesta, one of the most beatiful villages in Chios. The Port of Mesta has a lot of nice restaurants and you can also easily access a lot of nice beaches. By following the road that goes north from the port, you can visit the beautiful beaches Didymes, Potamoi, Trachili and Elinta. Afterwards, you can go to avgonima or anavatos village to eat or have a coffee. You should also visit the beaches that are close to Mesta, such as Apothika, Merikounta, Avlonia, and combine that adventure with visiting the beatiful villages of Olympoi and Pyrgi which are also relatively close to the port.

    Mesta should be a world heritage site.

    Mesta should be a world heritage site. This beautiful stone village is like a step back in time, it's so well preserved and authentic. It's a delight to wander the narrow alleys and relax in the little main square. There's plenty to do around the area as well - nearby mastica villages Olympi and Pyrgi are also wonderful day trips, and there are lots of lovely beaches around too. One thing to note is that Mesta doesn't have a few modern things you might need, like an ATM, gas station, pharmacy, doctor, supermarket, etc. You have to drive about 15-20 minutes to Pyrgi for those things. Also, no public transportation, and I didn't see any taxis.

    The beautiful, charming and well preserved medieval fortress...

    The beautiful, charming and well preserved medieval fortress village was well worth our time and a great location to explore the other "Mastichochoria" & gorgeous beaches from and the locals were friendly & welcoming. A definite highlight of the Island ~ do not miss!
