we are too old friends traveling increase for a month. This was our first night stay in the Peloponnese. exactly what we needed to rest and begin this part of our journey. Located within walking distance of the ruins at Mycenae, our lodging in the small village was quiet and had so many sweet touches like basket of fresh oranges from Sophia's trees, and honey from her bees. Delicious! we had a chance to visit with people in the neighborhood, I could practice speaking Greek, and as everywhere we have been people are so kind and generous. We are only sorry we could only stay one night. You might need a certain level of fitness to carry your suitcase up the spiral stairs . we loved the seating areas outdoors and indoors .

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming and authentic apartment! Tucked away in a peaceful rural area and surrounded by beautiful orange trees, it was the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We loved the private balcony, which offered both sunny and shaded spots — perfect for relaxing from sunrise to sunset. The host was absolutely lovely — genuinely friendly, helpful, and full of great local tips. The village has a truly local feel and a relaxed pace. A highlight for us was discovering a fantastic local wine sold right in the village bakery — such a nice touch that added to the experience! We can’t recommend this place highly enough. It’s the kind of hidden gem you’ll want to keep coming back to.

The home itself was so charming and cozy. In real estate listings, "charming and cozy" usually equate to small and bare bones...not the case with the Silo Stone House. This is the vacation cottage that dreams are made of. It's on top of a hill with views of the ancient Mycenae ruins and the sea in the distance. It's completely surrounded by expansive olive groves, without a neighbor in sight! The house was so well equipped and well appointed that it puts most other vacation rentals to shame. The owners could not have been nicer or made us feel more welcome. The owners also have an absolutely incredible store that is just a few minutes away and no trip to this area is complete without a stop there. It's called the Silo Art Factory and it could easily double as a museum.
