We loved that it was quite at night. Really relaxed. Lovely clean hotel in great location near sea and amazing village. Great pool and reception area. Beautiful view from rooftop bar. The staff (effy and Mike) were friendly, helpful and informative. The manager Vasillis went out of his way to be kind to us as it was our wedding anniversary trip. Comfortable, nicely equipped, with all the necessary amenities! Sparkling clean! We liked the pool zone. The pool is really big and comfortable. The staff is really friendly and helpful.     Adorable, quaint and full of charm. At night the village centre close the roads, bring out the tables and chairs and the streets are filled with the sights, smells and sounds of Cretan joy. One of the places I will miss the most and can’t wait to return too.

    Parnormos is a small village not spoilt by too many...

    Parnormos is a small village not spoilt by too many tourists. It has a couple of big hotels .There are several small supermarkets and a bakery . We arrived by bus from Iraklio which drops you off on main road which is abit hairy to walk along for 100m before the turn off for the village, we have also come previously from Rethymno , these buses come into the village which was better. A day trip to Rethymno by bus is recommended, they go every 30 mins , just be sure to buy your tickets from a local shop in advance .There are a few streets selling souvenirs etc which lead down to the beach, At night tables are brought out into the streets outside restaurants and there was a good choice of places to eat. A great trip is to Klados winery , 30 mins walk or 5 mins in taxi to taste their wines sitting under a pergola. There is also a Dotto train which has some trips into the mountains , we did one which included the Melidoni caves . This is the second year we have stayed in Parnormos, after the busy towns of Crete , it is a peaceful place to relax and we have loved being there. We did not need a car to get around.

    Panormos is only small but it has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. Local beaches, nice good quality restaurants and bars. Not a party town but enough to keep you entertained. Direct hourly bus service to Rethymon if you require the big city vibe

    The village is very pretty.

    The village is very pretty. Lots of choices of really great bars and restaurants. The beaches are small and can be a little crowded. You can go here without a car as there are a few day trips around Crete.

    It is a city that combines traditional, aristocratic and modern elements in a unique way. The old town of Rethymno is very picturesque, with a very beautiful Venetian port, castles and narrow streets paved with stones. The Venetian harbor area is an excellent place to have a coffee, or to dine in a quiet, harmonious atmosphere. The fortress that dominates the city and the delightful pedestrian alleys invite you to take a walk. Architecture merges with history, in the Venetian and Ottoman styles. The numerous shops with souvenirs and trendy jewelry full of imagination add color to the place.

    Small town with a busy cafe/restaurant area in the centre. Lovely bakery and a supermarket close to the beach selling pretty much everything you could need. Its not far from the main road (but it is uphill) so travel to other places was easy - but you do need to book on the bus to get a seat. Booking is free, best done on line

    Everything was great. We arrived a couple hours before check-in, we were kindly greeted, Manolis told about everything, offered to leave our luggage and we could even use the pool while waiting. The conditions were excellent, everything was new, there were all facilities, we felt like at home. They met us with a lot of Greek goodies, which was very nice after the road. Cleaning was done every two days, a very nice woman, thanks to her. If we come back to Crete, we would stay there again, thank you for everything.

    Amazing staff and wonderful facilities in an authentic 5-star result. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with a plethora of high quality options. The restaurants and bars are quite good and varied. The hotel staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The pools are very nice, but can get crowded during peak hours. The tennis courts were free to use and completely empty during our stay. Great place for a luxury stay.

    The apartment is lovely, in a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of Panormo. Elizabeth was really helpful arranging a transfer for us from the airport, dealing with any questions we had in a very prompt way, and also giving advice on things to do and places to go. We are familiar with Crete but there were some great suggestions that we took.

    A cozy little family run hotel above a pretty fishing village. The hosts are very helpful and went above and beyond for all our needs, thank you! Lovely pool area with snacks and drinks available - great views as well. If you have small children, this is the place for you as they have lots of toys, swings etc. Good value for money.
