Maria, the owner, is incredibly kind: she welcomed us warmly, offered us delicious local dishes, fresh eggs from her own hens, and thanks to the lemon tree right next to the accommodation, I was able to make refreshing homemade lemonades every two days. The accommodation is perfectly equipped and spotlessly clean: a large, impeccably maintained swimming pool, jacuzzi available upon request (Maria always replies quickly via WhatsApp), a fully equipped kitchen, efficient fridge, pristine bathroom, washing machine with a few detergent pods provided, toothpaste kit, soap, toilet paper… Everything is thoughtfully arranged for the guests’ comfort. The bed in the master bedroom is incredibly comfortable, and the sofa bed in the living room allowed my daughters to sleep wonderfully. Wifi perfect! The place is absolutely peaceful: located in a cul-de-sac, you can sleep undisturbed. The photos match reality perfectly – in fact, it’s even better in person. We are leaving with regret, as we felt so good here. We will definitely be back, even just for a weekend if we’re in Chania again, if only to greet Maria. She truly deserves far more than 10 stars!

Excellent place, we had Ambassador room for our first honeymoon’s night and it was great. Magnific view of the sea, cozy room and probably the best breakfast I ever had (served in the room). If you want to have a little privacy in the pool you have to choose Ambassador room so you have your private pool separate by a thin wall from next rooms, at least. Other rooms still have private access to the pool from the terrace, but actually it is a unique long pool running all over the terraces, separate by thin transparent glasses, so you see the neighbours when in the pool.

Everything was perfect at this hotel. Especially Rafaela and the team are so great. I can easily say that they are really helpful. Rafaela supported me at every step of my vacation plan, From rental arrangements to changed plans integrations. Easy five stars. If you guys have limited time at Crete like 4-5 days. It's not typical from us to go back to the same city twice, let alone staying in the very same accomodation twice! This was our second time staying at Kydon, in two consecutive years, and we will come back! BEST FREDDO CAPPUCCINO and comfiest bed ever! I have to say though that our first time staying here was much more outstanding and this is thanks to the staff here. Rena and Kiki, special shout out to you again! They remembered us from last year, and these are the "little somethings" that makes somebody want to come back. Although everyone was nice this year too, we could feel that it wasn't the same this time. Last year everyone was super happy, smiling all the time, you could feel that they loved what they were doing, but this time we felt that the newbies were not as professional as the ones we recognised from last year. I feel like the people should receive more recognition! Because of last years' experience we will come back at least to say hi to the friends we made here. We came back to Crete because of Kydon and more specifically because of the staff, that worked here. Please have more people like we've met last year work here and give them the recognition they deserve, because it's really the key to success! ❤️
