Great location, if you have a car, to get to Olympia. Lovely town square with great selection of restaurants to eat at - mainly Italian themed as opposed to Greek. Pyrgos is a small town with good access to beach resorts, Olympia and the mountains of the Peloponnese. It is in the west of Greece, so it gets more rain than the east of the Peloponnese - obviously not a problem in the summer, but something to be aware of out of season.
